Media show their anti-Labour bias – vicious attacks and slurs.

The surge in Labour popularity, as people wake up to the real motives of the Nasty Party, is sending Tories and their media into a spin. They have turned up the personal attacks.

It is noticeable that there is a distinct difference between the way the media deal with Cruella May and Mighty Corbyn. I’m not talking about the tabloids who are just plain scurrilous. They lie and distort but we have come to expect that. I am referring to the BBC radio and television interviews. The two candidates are not treated the same.

May is treated with deference while Corbyn is attacked. During the recent TV debate Paxman did his favourite trick of constantly interrupting Jeremy and piling on the pressure while he allowed May to talk without interruption. The tone and body language is vastly different, sending out a clear message that is as important as the words.

Labour have costed their plans but the Tories have not – relying on vague promises that will never materialise – yet Jeremy is hounded and May is not even questioned. It stinks.

There is no level playing field here. The Tories have loaded the BBC board with Tory people. It reeks.

To have a fair democratic election we need a fair democratic media. We haven’t got one. What we have is a Tory propaganda machine.

They want us to believe it’s about Brexit. Brexit unfortunately, is done and dusted and May has already antagonised Europe into a hard-line stance with her belligerence. What we now need are reasonable talks with Europe to get us a good deal. What we need is Jeremy bringing a better tone to the table. That will secure us the best deal.

The real issues are protecting our Schools, NHS and Social Care against the huge cuts created through Tory dogma. Creating a fairer society with less inequality by taxing the rich more and not giving them more tax cuts.

Prepare over the next week for an onslaught of personal slurs against Labour.

Protect our schools, NHS and care for the elderly. That’s what it’s about. Get out and vote the Nasty Party out!

The Choice is Stark. Labour v The Nasty Party

On June the 8th you have a clear choice between two ideologies:

Vote Labour

  1. Protect our Schools
  2. Protect the NHS
  3. Protect Social Services for the elderly and disabled
  4. Protect the police force to keep us safe
  5. End austerity
  6. Tax the rich
  7. Privatise the railways so profits are not creamed off for rich investors
  8. End the student fees
  9. A decent, less belligerent approach to Europe to get us a good deal

Vote for the Nasty Party

  1. More austerity
  2. More destruction and underfunding to the NHS, schools and disabled.
  3. More tax cuts for the rich
  4. More cuts for pensioners
  5. More fees for students.
  6. More tax evading and means for rich investors to rip us off
  7. A belligerent, aggressive stance to Europe that will put their backs up

As a completely unbiased voter I know you know what I mean.

All this twaddle about strong leadership when it is obvious Corbyn is the strong leader and May is too scared to even enter a debate with Corbyn let alone Europe.

All this twaddle about the IRA and Hamas – opening debate and discussion is the only way forward. Sharing a platform is not sharing views.

All this twaddle about Brexit when both parties are committed to the same thing – stupid though it is.

All this twaddle about financial management when Labour is the only party who have costed their proposals and the Tories haven’t put a figure on the board.

All this twaddle about speaking the truth and betraying pledges when Corbyn speaks from the heart and May does U-turns when popularity fades.

All this twaddle about terrorism and protecting us from the Islamic Fanatics when both sides will protect us and Labour will put more money in.

It is the old who are lumbering us with the Nasty Party!!! Get out and vote!!

Just as with Brexit it is the Old Voters who are voting for the Tories and don’t give a hoot about the young, schools, the NHS or social care. It is the young who will pick up the bill!

Grannies and Granddads are dumping their grandchildren in the mess.

According to the Independent:

‘The (Labour) party is 57 points ahead of the Conservatives among voters under 25 years old, according to the poll, compared to 28 points shortly after the snap vote was called in April.

Across all the age groups, the survey for The Sunday Times showed Theresa May’s lead over Labour had fallen to seven points as she re-launched her election campaign.

While only 12 per cent of 18- to 24-year-olds said they would vote Conservative, 69 per cent of them would opt to elect Jeremy Corbyn to Downing Street, the poll showed.

Meanwhile, 44 per cent of 25-to 49-year-olds favoured Labour, compared to 34 per cent who would vote Tory. Mr Corbyn’s 10-point lead among this age group was up from eight points in the first days after the election was announced.

Yet only 57 per cent of people in each young age group said they were absolutely certain to vote, compared to 66 per cent of 50 to 64-year-olds and 75 per cent of over 60s.’

Time to make sure everyone gets out to vote. This country can’t stand another five years of austerity and the dismantling of public services!!

Austerity doesn’t work – no debt paid off – huge inequality!!

austerity-isnt-working-steve-bell Osborne-stone-Routledge-cartoon

Austerity and the unfairness of how it works.

The rich get richer and the poor get squashed. Public services get smashed and the rich use their private services to gain even more advantage.

Austerity favours the establishment.

Too many people on the poverty line requiring food banks, on zero hours contracts and being used as cheap labour by the rich.

When people get paid so little the taxes go down and the national debt gets even bigger.

The unfairness of tax cuts for the rich while the poor suffer pay cuts.

Too many bankers bonuses, rich-cats pay rises while the Public Sector is annihilated due to pure Tory dogma.

What sort of divided society are we creating? It stinks!!

When people are abused so much, when inequality reaches a peak, they spontaneously rise up and smash the system. We nearly saw it with the riots of a few years back. We’re storing trouble for the future.

The Tories and the bankers run a pretty shady business of looking after their rich buddies and toffs. Austerity was a great excuse.

AUSTERITY DOES NOT WORK!!!

Election – I do not know if you have noticed that it is looming! Some thoughts.

Why is all this election business so artificial?

Politicians are simply not interested in doing what really needs doing. For them it is all about power and votes.

For most of the time they treat us with disdain and contempt.

The short term patterns of our election prevents any long-term planning. When it comes to infra-structure or painful decisions they duck the issues – they think ‘what is the point of doing something that a future government will pick up the credit for? Where’s the votes in that?

What I want is passion and idealism. I want someone who will stand up and put their views out because it is what they believe. I do not want to hear politicians blathering on about what they think might get them votes so that they can wield power and be the big I-Am. I want honesty.

I want politicians to do what is right and not what is popular.

I want integrity, real issues, caring and some common sense.

Why is it that we always have to choose which is the less nasty, less greedy, less crooked, less uncaring?

I want a real choice! I want an alternative to the selfish greed of the Tories with their uncaring disregard for ordinary people. I don’t want to have to settle for a watered down version.
