An unexpected delight! I never thought I’d hear Forest again! Thanks for dropping by. I put the photos for last night up on my blog. Have you seen them? Rich and Lou will do a full production with Rich’s photos on their Loudhailer site. It was lovely hearing and seeing you perform. Great to see you and thanks for touching base. All the best – Opher
I’ve had the pleasure of seeing this truly amazing guy a few times now: from the tiny ‘Ain’t Nothin But’ bar behind Hamleys to the majesty of the deconsecrated church that is the Colchester Arts Centre (by way of the sadly now-defunct Charlotte Street Blues bar). Be it with his band or solo (the Charlotte Street gig was one to remember! He hobbled on stage with a giant cast on his left leg!), the man is formidable! The magic of Muddy Waters and the voice of a 80-a-day habit, he is a rare treat every time.
he certainly is. i saw him first with members of the North Mississippi Allstars and they were brilliant. I then saw him solo and he was different but equally good.
