The Hypocrisy of right-wing politics!

Their is no such thing as morality on the right wing of politics. The right represents selfishness and unadulterated greed. Compassion and empathy are swear words. Fairness is weakness. It’s survival of the fittest and stamp the poor into the ground. They exist to be exploited.

The right are a bunch of elitist profiteers put in place by gullible wannnabes.

I want a fairer, more compassionate world. I want compassion and protection of the weak.

Ken Loach Quotes – Britain’s greatest Film Director!

Telling the truth!

Posted on  by Opher

Ken Loach is my favourite Director. He is highly intelligent and his films always have a pertinent social message that I can empathise with. I like films that make you think. Ken is the conscience of the nation. His films should be compulsory – particularly for Tories who are usually incapable of appreciating human suffering.

Maybe if we tell the truth about the past, we can tell the truth about the present.

I see the lies and despair. Brexit and Trump – a litany of hatred and lies. The media and politicians all have their agenda and no scruples. It’s getting worse. The sheeple are treated with utter scorn and manipulated.

A movie isn’t a political movement, a party or even an article. It’s just a film. At best it can add its voice to public outrage.

There’s a hell of a lot of injustice and rage to tap into.

About Thatcher’s death: Let’s privatise her funeral. Put it out on competitive tender and accept the cheapest bid. That’s what she would have wanted.

Such with and humour. I’m glad they buried her. They just did it fifty years too late.

I turned down the OBE because its not a club you want to join when you look at the villains who’ve got it. Its all the things I think are despicable: patronage, deferring to the monarchy and the name of the British Empire, which is a monument of exploitation and conquest.

Not many people with that calibre of integrity. Too many money-grabbing, power-seeking selfish gits who take the money.

One lesson to learn is that the press and the broadcasters are not neutral. And it seems we have to learn it each time there is a dispute: they are actually committed to one side.

Orgreave taught me that even the BBC have their agenda. The bias is there. The establishment orchestrate out feelings.

In the end the privatisation of war is not acceptable. We shouldn’t be issuing these sub-contracts to these contracting companies because the people who run them are making millions. There should be no relationship between ex-politicians and them, like John Reid and Malcolm Rifkind, who are now associated with contracting companies having been ministers of defence. That’s unacceptable.

It is incredible hoe people like Rumsfeldt are raking it in! Should be a law against it!

Poetry – We are at war!

We are at war!

We are at war!

At war with the elite

Who would ravage the land!

At war with inequality

Which robs us of our fairness!

At war with fake news

That robs us of the truth!

This is the war of reason

Not guns.

The war of ethics

Not weapons.

The war for the future of the world.

We are at war!

Never has so much been at stake!

We are rebelling

Against extinction!

Perhaps now the deniers who are witnessing the drying up of the Victoria Falls, the shrinking of ice-caps, heatwaves, floods and hurricanes, will start to wake up – no longer in thrall to the greed of Trump – for whom nothing matters except money.

The world is pivoting. It totters.

We should use our intelligence.

The wealthy will sell the planet for profit. They peddle fake news. Their greed and selfishness is endangering species after species and putting us in the firing line.

There is a war. It is a war fought with words and votes. It is a war we need to win.

This is the battle of the ballot box.

Forget Brexit. Think planet.

Poetry – The Bubble and the Rubble.

The Bubble and the Rubble.

Behind their gates,

With private security,

Public schools,

And privileged purity,

The elite live in a bubble.

Raking cash in

With great alacrity;

Profiteering

With impunity;

The elite create rubble.

The billionaires have never had it so good. Under the Tory austerity they are flourishing.

The poor get poorer.

The rich get richer.

And the poor are told by the Express, Sun and Mail to blame it on the EU.

Brexit is the perfect deception – a fog obscuring the way the poor are being robbed.

As the schools and hospital decay, peoples pensions are robbed, pay stagnates, zero hours flourishes, low pay is the norm, unions are castrated, crime increases, food banks flourish, homelessness is on the rise, the Tories give tax cuts to the rich and big corporations. The rich get fat on the wreckage of society.

But do they care?

Behind their gated security, in their penthouses, mingling with their rich chums, they are separated from the devastation left in their wake.

Poetry – Send Money!! Send Money!! Send Money!!

Send Money!! Send Money!! Send Money!!

The children are dying of cancer!

Send Money!! Send Money!! Send Money!!

The elephants are being wiped out!

Send Money!! Send Money!! Send Money!!

The homeless are freezing to death!

Send Money!! Send Money!! Send Money!!

Starving children are going without!

Send Money!! Send Money!! Send Money!!

There’s a catastrophe in Haiti!

Send Money!! Send Money!! Send Money!!

The forests are being chopped down !

Send Money!! Send Money!! Send Money!!

We’re being swamped with refugees!

Send Money!! Send Money!! Send Money!!

Global warming will make us all drown!

Send Money!! Send Money!! Send Money!!

Women are being battered!

Send Money!! Send Money!! Send Money!!

Whales are being slaughtered again!

Send Money!! Send Money!! Send Money!!

The wars are creating more orphans!

Send Money!! Send Money!! Send Money!!

Babies are in so much pain!

Send Money!! Send Money!! Send Money!!

Where does this misery end?

My money is such a pitiful drop?

Who is causing all this misery?

When will it ever stop?

Opher – 29.9.2021

The answer is very simple.

The misery is a direct result of how we human beings organise ourselves.

Nothing more.

We choose this!

We choose to allow a small minority to retain most of the world’s wealth instead of distributing it more fairly.

We choose to allow people to destroy the animals, chop down the forests and pollute for profit.

We choose to tolerate cruelty, violence, war, victimisation and poverty.

It does not have to be like that.

We could choose to live differently.

There is enough wealth and sufficient resources for everyone to have a good standard of living.

We could live sustainably without ransacking the planet and killing everything.

We could put an end to poverty, violence and war.

We choose not to.

We elect megalomaniacs, sociopaths and psychopaths.

We aspire to be part of that greedy, selfish elite.

It could be so very different.

What pisses me off!

This came through from John Peachey. It seemed to sum up my feelings. Inequality has gone nuts! Arrogance rules!!

‘What pisses me off is the people who do the shitty nasty messy jobs like wiping bottoms in hospitals get paid peanuts while the privileged, cushy, sit-around-chatting-all-day drinking champagne types store up millions in their offshore accounts and contribute nothing to the economy. They would argue that they provide the work for the peasants but it is long overdue that a balance was restored. ‘Restored’? It’s always been this way. We’re long overdue a revolution!’

Poetry – A dose of Affluenza

A dose of Affluenza

We got a dose of affluenza.

We’re sick to the core.

Every time I see the stock market,

It makes me feel quite sore.

The country’s getting richer

But nothing comes our way.

It all ends up at the top,

But never in my pay.

I pay my taxes

While they stuff it all off-shore.

We’re giving to the rich

And taking from the poor!

This bloody affluenza

Is making us all ill.

We’ve lost all our compassion

Like pigs guzzling swill.

I need a vaccination

To cure me of this disease.

This lack of trickle down

Has brought me to my knees.

It seems that no-one matters

Unless they’re stinking rich.

We just make up the numbers

Ain’t life a stinking bitch?

We need a panacea

To cure us from this schism.

I have just the remedy –

A good dose of socialism!

Opher – 19.4.2019

I don’t envy the rich. I despise them. I don’t aspire to their lifestyles. I just want something fairer.

Long ago, when I was a very young man, I realised that the dream of chasing wealth and status was a phony game. It was empty. I wanted to chase knowledge, fulfilment, experience and pleasure. I wanted my life full of a richness that money cannot buy.

I’m glad I made that choice.

But now, as I look at what is happening, I despair.

My life is good. I have largely achieved what I set out to do. But the society I live in has become much worse. The affluent have set us down a road of continual growth resulting in huge destruction of nature. They have greedily grabbed everything they can regardless of the consequences for people or nature.

The affluent are causing huge poverty, inequality and damage.

We need to put it right. We need to find a better way of living. Money and status are phony principles to base a life on. Give me knowledge, experience, fulfilment and fun any day. Money can’t buy love and it can’t buy back time.

Populist tactics!!

Blame the scapegoat while robbing us blind. Trump, Johnson, Bolsonaro – they’re all at it!!

Tory Greed and Callousness Deliberately Bred into them?

So as Johnson splashes out £100,000 on art for his flat (partly paid for by us), , splashed out £200,000 on a flat make-over (£30,000 from us and the rest from Tory donors? – £840-a-roll wallpaper, a £9,800 Baby Bear sofa, a £3,000 Lily Drum table), goes on lavish exotic holidays (all paid for by Tory donors – who, of course, do not want anything in return), offers up secret meetings with businessmen for £250,000 donation) and lives the life of Reilly with lavish food, wine and champagne, while masquerading as a ‘man of the people’, a jolly good laugh, he, and his Tory colleagues, are taking £20 a week off the poorest members of society, throwing them into extreme poverty and mental anguish.

In short – they don’t care!

They lack empathy.

These people are viewed not as people but as trash, losers, life’s jetsam and flotsam. A drain on society.

The truth is that Tories despise the poor and the public servants. Anybody who is not looking to make huge money (at any price) is a loser. They view public servants as parasites. Caring is a weakness.

For these Tories life is all about making their millions at any cost. As we see with Cameron, Osborne and their multimillion pound incomes (We’re all in it together – what a laugh). We see it with the corrupt and sleazy deals. We see it with the burner phones being dumped. We see it with the desire to control and suppress. We see it with the tax cuts for the rich and the way that tax loopholes are left untouched. We see it with the pay freezes and pay cuts for Nurses and Teachers. We see it with the immoral profiteering over Brexit and Covid.

They see nothing wrong in making huge sums of money out of other peoples’ misery. Cold, calculated and uncaring.

The people who die, whose lives are wrecked, are collateral damage in life’s game. If they had anything about them they’d be making millions and screwing everyone else. That’s life – winners and losers.

So where does this come from? This lack of empathy? This ruthlessness? This greed?

Simply – are they are severely damaged by a lack of love? Emotionally stunted? Taught that emotions and people do not count? That life is a game and they are superior – and superiority means winning at all costs (even if that hurts others or causes immense damage)?

How many Tories have made millions out of Covid and Brexit? The list is long!

They are brought up in wealthy families where parents are distant and ‘Nanny’ provides the care. They lack the hugs and kisses necessary to provide a healthy emotional life.

They are sent off to private schools where loveless austerity rules. They are taught to be superior and arrogant. They are taught how to fool and manipulate. They are taught all the skills to achieve. They are taught all the etiquette and rules, the social mores and codes that set them apart, the attitudes of the ‘successful’ rulers, but none of the emotions or empathy.

If you care; if you think about others and the effect of your actions, you will lose. Life is about winning.

They are taught to not care and that they are superior and deserve it; that the plebs are inferior and deserve all that’s coming. That’s life. It’s brutal.

Mummy and Daddy turn up in their posh cars and shake hands.

They become sociopathic, even psychopathic, because those are the qualities that are rewarded.

So Johnson and Cameron see nothing wrong in the excesses of their lifestyles and the extravagance. They see nothing wrong in the lies, the sleaze, corruption or immorality. It is what they have been taught. They deserve it. They are winners.

They see nothing wrong in the pay cuts, the child poverty, the austerity and hardship they create. They deserve it. They are losers.

These people are emotionally crippled. Their lack of empathy and caring has been deliberately bred into them.

That’s the cruel reality of elitism.

I’ve suddenly become in favour of Chain Gangs!

For deliberately misleading the public – sleaze and corruption!
