Photography – Scottish Landscapes

So much beauty. The rich green landscape, old ruined castles and nature.

Scotland – More Neolithic wonders

From fields of strange stones to large mounds of rocks and great slabs of stone. Our ancestors scattered the wonders of their imagination over our landscape. Scotland is a good hunting ground. Cairns that last thousands of years.

Scotland – Majestic Lochs, Glens and Wildlife. Photos.

The beauty of the landscape is undeniable. The weather can be a bit tricky but we were incredibly lucky to have unbroken sunshine.

We clambered up hills and mountains to gain spectacular views. We walked around lochs and saw amazing wildlife.

We looked at the castles and read about the enclosures and harsh treatment of people.

Who owns the land? Who owns the water? Who owns the air?

All taken by force!

The Beauty of Loch Aneilein in Scottish Sunshine!!

Loch Aneilein was a rare beauty of nature. With the sun shining on it there was a magical beauty. The forests stood all around full of birdsong. There were rare water fowl, sundew plants, toads, and a dearth of people. Just how nature should be – untouched by human hand.

Trip to the Isle of Mull in Scotland – leaving Oban

A good mate from college hit his 70th birthday and invited us to join him on Mull along with a small group to celebrate.

We’d never been to Mull but love Scotland, so it was a good opportunity.

I like taking photos so I recorded the event:

It was a gloomy day to set out to Mull. We drove the three hundred odd miles and caught the ferry out of Oban – a nice little town situated in a bay.

Oban looked a bit dour in the gloom but it had charm.

Looking out from the harbour towards Mull.

Our first glimpse of the cloud enshrouded Isle of Mull.
