As it was a gloomy day we decided to have a look at the castle. I like old things. Looking back at history reminds me how bloody and gory it was and what massive inequality existed.
There were the famous leather tapestries showing scenes from Anthony and Cleopatra.
One interesting fact was that the sea used to come right up to the front of the castle where all those green fields are. With global warming it probably will again.
Whatever takes my eye is snapped! I like colour, nature and old things.
The place is packed with interesting old architecture. Very picturesque.
It was a sunny day as we approached the island of Jersey on the ferry. It looked extremely picturesque.
It was an amazing sight to see the adult birds feeding their young, to see such great numbers of birds and be able to get so close to them. Quite an experience. As a biologist it was like being in wonderland.
It was in 2003 that we ventured back into France. I love the culture, the people, food and wine. The scenery is spectacular.
It was an opportunity for me to utilise the language skills I picked up at school – strangely the French people did not seem to understand their own language!
We were invited to a wedding in the South of France. It was so beautiful. We must go back!
