Sunshine, flowers

Sunshine, flowers

Sunshine, flowers

Butterflies and bees.

Valleys, mountains,

Chocolate and seas.

Ice-cream, birds,

Alcohol and trees.

Jungles, elephants

Summertime’s breeze.

Fulfilment, writing,

Leisure and ease.

Unrelenting wonder

Begin and never cease.

Opher – 9.11.2023

And I think to myself………….

So good to be alive.

More from the RHS Gardens in Yorkshire

Nature is incredible – the shapes, patterns and colours. Even though gardens are planted and manicured and plants are cultivated and artificial selected they still have an amazing beauty.

Orchids at Burton Agnes

Orchids are amazing. I particularly like those aerial roots! Burton Agnes Hall was a great setting for them!

Cambodia – Flowers and birds.

I love nature.

A few recent walks – Burton Agnes – the gardens.

I thought I’d share a few of our recent walks. This one was at Burton Agnes – a great place to visit.

As it’s autumn the gardens are not in flower but there were still a number of things that caught my eye!

It was a bright sunny day and warm!!

Australia – Flowers, egrets and eccentric farms in the middle of nowhere.

We drove around the area. There were lots of beautiful flowers, huge flocks of egrets, and ended up at some weird farm in the middle of nowhere. There was nobody around but the owners certainly liked to collect strange ornaments.

The Park on the Sydney waterfront – photos

What could be better than a pleasant stroll through the park along the front in Sydney? The plants, art, wildlife – all fascinating.

Sydney – Art and Flowers in the Park – Photos

As a biologist I’m always fascinated by the different plants, flowers and life in different parts of the world – things that locals might take for granted.

Nothing should ever be taken for granted.

Kew Gardens – Flowers

Kew is an amazing place. So much to see.

Burton Agnes – the incredible gardens and statues

While the music is playing in the background you can wander through the great walled gardens with its array of flowers and vegetables.

There’s even a Green Man!!
