The boulders were like Henry Moore sculptures – majestic, proud rocks carved by the eras. The landscape was spread out below us.The sun shone on Yorkshire and all was right.

The incredible limestone escarpment at Malham Cove

You walk through these beautiful green hills to arrive at the top of Malham Cove. The amazing limestone escarpment is laid out before you in an array of jigsaw patterns. I think it’s gorgeous!

We were walking across the hills towards the wonderful limestone escarpment at the top of Malham Cove.

On the way to the Medieval village of Wharram Percy – Yorkshire Wolds

we walked past Fairy Dale on our way to the village. A particularly liked the hawthorns, laden with red berries, on the tops of the dales.
