Women    Life    Freedom!!

                We cut our hair

                                Throw off our chains.

They beat us.

                They kill us

                                But the will remains!

Incredible bravery

                In the face of death!!

We oppose injustice

                With every breath!!

A regime of terror

                In the name of God.

Enforced with violence –

Gun, gas and rod.

We stand together

                For a better life!

The cry for Regime change

                Is becoming rife!

                Equality for all!!

                                Fighting for our lives

                                                With our backs against the wall!!

The brave women of Iran are standing up against the authoritarian, misogynistic, regime based on terror and repression.

The zealots of extremism are not content to have their own views of religion; they have to impose it on others!!

This misogynistic philosophy comes screaming out of the bowels of the Dark Ages, from tribal nomadic Arabs intent on suppressing women.

These tyrants wish to shackle half the world’s population in sackcloth and masks.

It’s time everybody rose up and demands equality!!

Down with tyrants!!

Down with evil purveyors of terror and oppression!!

The nutters of God need putting back in their box!!

One only has to look at the response to Covid-19 – the women leaders are tearing strips off the macho males with all their belligerent posturing.

We’ve had too much arrogance, belligerence, war and aggression. Time to make the world a better, kinder place. Put the women in charge!!

As the medieval fanatics of the Taliban advance into the cities threatening to take over the country and throw everyone back into the stone-age it made me think of this song.

These religious thugs want to force their distorted views on to everyone else. They are ignorant imbeciles who believe in a abhorrent philosophy. Religion is bad enough but this takes it to a different level.

They want to ban music.

They want to destroy art and architecture.

They want to erase history.

But worst of all they want to dominate and completely subjugate half of humanity – women. They want to chain them in the house as slaves. They want to prevent them being educating, working or assuming any position of power. They insist they had to be covered from head to foot in robes and veils. They want them obeying their husbands, churning out babies and doing menial work. They wish to treat women worse than dogs.

If that isn’t worth opposing I don’t know what is.

John Lennon recognised how bad things were for women in the Western world – let alone this barbaric idiocy. He deliberately used the word nigger because of the power that was in it.

Fifty years on woman is still the nigger of the world and in Afghanistan it’s about to get a lot lot worse!

Poetry – The Nudge

The Nudge

Sometimes my life is one long nudge.

For every yawn, scratch or words not said right,

There is a nudge.

It could be a nudge of judgement, a nudge of shock,

Or of annoyance, irritation, embarrassment or warning.

Sometimes it is a nudge of disbelief

That I should be so uncouth

Rude or thoughtless ………

And never learn.

There is a bruise of shame

On my biceps and ribs,

My thigh and ankle too,

That sometimes still fails to penetrate my brain enough to learn.

Thank heavens we do not possess telepathy.

A nudge in the cerebrum might jar my synapses

Into making sense.

Fortunately women are civilising influences. Left to my own devices I’d probably be extremely uncouth. Yet it is a little restricting to find oneself pulled up for every imaginary social faux pas.

I guess our awareness levels are set at different settings on the gauge.

Sex!!! Part 4 – A woman’s choice.

Women choose who to have sex with!

Women can only have a limited number of children.
Men can father thousands.

Women make themselves attractive to lure in as many males as possible and then select which is the highest status male available.

Men home in on females and choose the highest status available. They are not so choosey.

Women are selecting mates for their genes. They want a high status male with good genes to join with their own so that their children have better survival opportunities. Women look for quality.

Men look for quantity. The more women they can impregnate the most chance they have of getting children (genes) into the next gene pool.
