My writing has purpose, intent and gravity. I do not write trivia. I do not write for profit. Yet I believe my work is readable, fun and thought provoking.

This is the blurb:

The sixties raged. I was young, crazy, full of hormones and wanting to snatch life by the balls. There was a life out there for the grabbing and it had to be wrestled into submission. There was a society full of boring amoral crap and a life to be had in the face of the boring, comforting vision of slow death on offer. Rock music vented all that passion. This book is a memoir of a life spent immersed in Rock Music. I was born in 1949 and so lived through the whole gamut of Rock. Rock music formed the background to momentous world events – the Civil Rights Movement, Vietnam War, Iraq war, Watergate, the miners’ strike and Thatcher years, CND, the Green Movement, Mao and the Cultural Revolution, Women’s Liberation and the Cold War. I see this as the Rock Era. I was immersed in Rock music. It was fused into my personality. It informed me, transformed me and inspired me. My heroes were musicians. I am who I am because of them. Without Rock Music I would not have the same sensibilities, optimism or ideals. They woke me up! This tells that story.

Science Fiction – a genre of genius and imagination – my books.

I read Sci-fi avidly as a teenager and it still forms part of my regular reading.

Reading is an essential pleasure in life. The whole world is opened up to you and all of human thoughts and minds. With Sci-fi the whole universe, time and all possibility is brought to bear. The only limitation is the imagination.

I tend not to like Fantasy. I like my Sci-fi futuristic with a basis in science and reality.

Sci-fi stimulated a lot of the music I love – the Psychedelia of Hendrix and Pink Floyd and Syd Barrett.

I started writing Sci-fi in 1971 and have a number of books on Amazon:

Green is a novel based in the future. I was playing around with the infinite worlds of consciousness and the universe against a backdrop of environmental catastrophe.

A thrilling Sci fi tale of the future.
Starturn – Intergalactic Rockstar
This is a book that combines two of my passions – Rock Music and Sci-fi. I based the events long in the future with an intergalactic audience, a Rock Band based on Jim Morrison, Hendrix, Dylan, Lennon and Bowie and a time of social unrest that reflected the sixties. It was fun and gave me the scope to develop some of my favourite themes.

My Writing and my books.

I am a writer of great range and versatility. I have been carrying out my art for forty five years. It is a passion.

So far I have written forty five books and have another few cluttering up my head. I am prolific.

I am not bound by any desire to stick to any genre or tailor my work for an audience. I write about what I feel. I express what is in my mind and heart as vividly as I can manage whether that is a biographical account, a piece of imagination, a heartfelt bellow of rage, a love, a story or a factual account. I make no distinction though the genre creates a fundamental difference in form, style and structure. My books are all different.

If you’ve read my blog you have an idea of where I am coming from. Why not treat yourself?

This is my big year. I have spent nearly five years rewriting, reworking and editing my books.

I have written forty five and published twenty one on Amazon.

I am about to move into phase two. Phase two is to get a Literary Agent to act on my behalf and promote my books for publishing.

In order to take me on they have to be convinced that my writing is good enough. The only ways they have of measuring this is sales, reviews and reading my work. Catch 22 is that they won’t read it if they do not think people will like it. In other words reviews are what counts.
