The Royal Palace was massive – with amazing grounds, buildings, decoration, statues and art. So impressive. I couldn’t stop taking photos. There was always something else that was incredibly beautiful.

The temple of Wat Traimit, houses a solid gold buddha. It weighs 5.5 tonnes and is nearly ten feet tall. Quite hefty. It used to be covered in plaster so nobody would steal it.

Driving through the crowded Bangkok streets is a nightmare.
The traffic, buses, cars, tuk-tuks, scooters and motorbikes all trying to get through the jams. The bright colours – all reds, yellows and blues – were really overpowering. On all sides there were stalls piled with fruit, different food, clothes and utensils. Them the people all bustling around.
The over-riding feel was one of vibrancy. I loved it.
