Who will benefit?
Trump will benefit – he will not be locked up for his criminal activities. He will become incredibly richer.
Billionaires will benefit – he will slash their taxes.
Putin will benefit – he will give Russia Ukraine.
Kim Jong will benefit – he will be left to build up his arsenal.
Trump’s family will benefit – he will nepotistically put them in power positions. They will all become much richer.
The GOP senators will benefit – they will gain much more wealth and power.
Men will benefit – they have control over women.
Fanatical Evangelists will benefit – they get to put into practice their extreme policies.
White Supremacists will benefit – They have been empowered.
The Oil/Gas/Fracking industry will benefit – They can plunder without a care for the environment.
Netanyahu will benefit – he can destroy Palestinians with impunity.
NeoNazi groups will benefit – they are empowered.
You can tell a lot about people by the company they keep (Epstein/Diddy) and who backs them (Musk/Bezos + 81 other billionaires).
My Mum often used to say ’empty vessels make the most noise’ – but really, why is it that the ignorant, stupid and uneducated are dictating a lot of what is going down? From white supremacists, MAGA Trumpists and brainwashed evangelicals to militant jihadis we are being subjected to a relentless tirade of nonsense, conspiracy and religious crap.
I wouldn’t mind but they are impinging on my rights and freedoms. Under the guise of freedom they want to restrict my freedoms. Feels like we are being controlled by the least intelligent!
Irony
It is the people who make the most fuss about freedom
Who are the ones quickest to deny the freedom of others.
Is their idea of freedom little more than licence for themselves
And oppression for their brothers?
Are the people who delight in derogatory language
Not the ones who are
Intolerant of criticism,

I hear a lot of talk from many Americans who cherish their freedom, who feel that PC is an infringement of their rights.
I feel that what they really crave is not freedom but the license to abuse and bully.
Any freedom that robs other people of their power, rights or freedom, that causes oppression or fear, is nothing more than tyranny and bullying.
Communities are about compromises, empathy and understanding. Nobody is entitled to absolute freedom.
This John Wayne fantasy is incredibly harmful.
Freedom is fairness, consideration and finding the middle ground.
Everyone should have their rights preserved – not just a loud, brash few.
License is freedom to abuse and oppress.
It seems to me that the Republican Party is at a crossroads. They have some important decisions to make. They have been taken over by the extremists – the mad Tea Party nutcases and Trumpist conspiracists. They have virtually ousted the genuine Republican conservatives. The party now represents the extreme groups – the KKK, neo-nazis, white supremacists, proud boys, and QAnon conspirators.
Now that Trump has stepped over the bounds and his popularity has dived they are left stranded. The party has been sullied and lost its moral basis. Too many of the politicians support mad conspiracy theories and have condoned immoral and even criminal behaviour.
It seems to me that they have a number of choices:
This is a similar thing to what has happened in the UK with the Tory Party over Brexit. The Tory Party ousted all the moderate Tories, like Rory Stewart, Kenneth Clarke, Michael Hesseltine and Philip Hammond, as the extreme Brexiteers took over and it lurched to the right. Now that Brexit is over we’ll see what the repercussions are. Will the public support an extreme-right party or will they suffer for this sway to the right.
As someone who detests the callous selfishness of right-wing policies, their favouring of the elite and crippling of public services, I think this is great. The more extreme the Republicans and Tories become the less electable they are. I’d be happy to see them annihilated for ever!
In this day and age it is easy to think of terrorism as something perpetrated by religious fanatics, brainwashed and packed off with their bombs to blow up innocent people in trains, planes, mosques and buses. That is not always the case.
The Ku Klux Klan were a terrorist organisation with the sole intent of maintaining White Supremacy by instigating terror in the Southern Black population.
They used hoods, burning crosses, pseudo-Christian rhetoric and gibberish and weren’t above threats, beatings, shootings, arson and lynching to make a point. They ruled through terror.
It took a brave man to stand up to the Klan. Their reach was long, forgiveness none and retribution vicious.
Where evil lives it is up to all good people to stand up and oppose it!
