  1. Do away with all experts – who needs experts?
  2. Do away with science – work on gut instinct. Who needs science?
  3. Don’t appoint anybody who is good at what they do. Loyalty is the only criteria. Who needs potential challengers?
  4. Do away with education. Who needs people who question, probe and stir up trouble?
  5. Take over the news. Who needs truth?
  6. Spread lies, conspiracy, fake news and more lies. As I said – who needs truth?
  7. Sack anyone who is not loyal. Who needs dissent and trouble?
  8. Attack and sue the hell out of anybody or organisation that doesn’t toe the line. Who needs opposition?
  9. Promote religion. Religion stops all questioning and blinds people. Who needs facts, truth, or intelligence?
  10. Attack people for the very things you do. Deflects investigation. Who needs to be investigated?
  11. Deny everything even when there clear evidence. Brazen it out even if convicted. Claim plots, fake news and the opposition. Who cares?
  12. Employ armies of lawyers to slow trials down, find loopholes and buy time until pardoned. Who needs to be locked up?
  13. Make up derogatory names for all opponents – sleepy, crooked are good. Doesn’t matter if they are true. Who cares about the truth?
  14. Sue media who criticise to shut them up. Who needs opposition?
  15. Spread lies, fake stuff and conspiracy to confuse, undermine and divide. Who needs a unified opposition?
  16. Align with fanatical groups and offer them what they want to avidly support you – fascist groups, NRA, extreme right-wing evangelicals, extreme Jews, KKK, Proud Boys, white supremacists. Make them your foot soldiers to do dirty work. Who needs peace?
  17. Use power to crush opposition, garnish favours and bring in great wealth (billions). Who needs to be poor?
  18. Appoint family to various lucrative roles and help them pull in billions. A family that grafts together has each others backs. Bind them in. Who needs disloyalty?
  19. Break laws to achieve your goals. Who needs laws?
  20. Don’t read. Who needs to develop the mind?
  21. Adore tyrants and totalitarian leaders. Who needs democracy?
  22. Hire, bribe, blackmail and control judiciary and Supreme Court. Who needs to be restricted by laws, constitutions or morality?
  23. Pretend to be moral, religious and sane. Who needs restrictions or cares about the truth?
  24. Threaten, cajole, buy and befriend Billionaires who control everything. Who needs powerful enemies?
  25. Identify scapegoats. Useful scapegoats include immigrants, ethnic minorities and women. Who cares if you upset some people?
  26. Really upset some people and don’t be afraid of hurting or killing some. Who cares if you are a psychopath, sociopath or narcissist?
  27. Claim to identify and represent the white working class. Who cares if that’s laughable?
  28. Bypass the system with executive orders. Who cares if they are legal or workable?
  29. Have fun. Make your billions. Upset and destroy. Say the opposite of what you mean. Throw dead cats on the table. Kill. Demand. Whine. Berate. Who cares??
  30. Say what you like. Do what you like. Rape who you like. Who needs limits?
  31. Have a single goal – to make as much money as you can. Who cares about anybody else?
  32. Be a complete fascist arsehole. Who cares? Who the hell cares?

America Too Dangerous to Visit!

I’ve been to most places around the world, including some danger zones – Egypt, Jordan, Oman and Israel. I’ve been to South Africa and Brazil. I’ve even travelled to the Iraq border and right through Mexico, through Zambia and Zimbabwe. The only place I’ve had a gun pulled on me is in the USA. That was before all this MAGA hate and the rise and empowerment of these gun-totin’ fascists.

When I lived there these racist extremists were a minority who were ridiculed and kept their heads down. Trump has empowered them. Now every slime-ball and moron with a gun has crawled out from under their rock with the view that they know better than everyone else and have a right to force their moronic views on everyone else!

The USA has become too dangerous to travel to. It’s like a third world country now. The education system is broken. It exports ignorance and superstition. The US is now a pit of conspiracy, arrogance and stupidity. America seems to breed racism, white supremacy and Nazis. Half of them still believe they are living in the frontier Wild West. This complete stupidity about the right to bear arms is insane. Every nincompoop, racist motherfucker with a chip on their shoulder, a psychological disease or emotional turmoil is armed with assault rifles! It’s nuts! Then there are the gangs, the religious nutcases and political extremists. The place has always been a hotbed of macho violence with dollops of race hatred and religious extremism but it’s taken a big step further into the maelstrom of lawlessness. They spout freedom but they mean conformity. Not only can’t you trust the police but you can’t trust the corrupt politicians or the courts. The only thing that is expanding are the prisons.

How do intelligent, educated, sane Americans manage to live there? The place is an insane asylum run by escapees from drop-outs-ville. The people setting the pace may be stupid and completely uneducated but that doesn’t stop them thinking that they know better than any expert in any field. Science has become a dirty word!

Into what was already a heady mix of insanity comes Trump and the MAGA movement. He has cynically assembled a confederation of racists, Nazis, white supremacists, conspiracy believers, extreme right-wing Christians, trailer trash and discarded working class into a fanatical cult, undermined all experts, science, the media, law, courts, government, education and all other institutions to create a furore. The only truth is MAGA and Trump. And Trump lies and makes everything up. What he is good at is undermining stability and rational sense, stilling up division and hate, and convincing the stupid that he has the answers to every problem. To do that he scapegoats, belittles and inflames.

Now the MAGA nutcases are flouncing around brandishing machine guns and threatening anyone who doesn’t agree with them. It’s mob rule! This is precisely like the blackshirts of Nazi Germany! The MAGA caps are the new SS symbol.

I love America! The most beautiful countryside in the world!

I love the sane American people! (at least the sane, educated ones)

I despise Trump and MAGA, the ascendency of stupid and the rule of violence.

Until the States have become civilised again I won’t be going back! It’s too dangerous! I might go to Afghanistan or Libya, Sudan or Yemen instead! They’re safer!

They control the Supreme Court

Trump has immunity from prosecution

They control Congress

They control the Senate

They control government spending

They are replacing all independent or democratic people in government departments and replacing them with self-serving sycophants

They are sacking independents in the military and replacing them with yes-men.

They are displacing anybody in the judiciary who challenges their power

They are controlling education

They are taking control of the democratic voting system

They are threatening anybody in the media who opposes them

They are pouring out unrelenting lies and propaganda, disinformation and misinformation

They are scapegoating immigrants and the poor

They are rewarding sycophants

They are aligning with other dictatorships and turning against allies

They are looking to change the constitution to enable a third term

They are empowering right-wing thugs who support the regime

This is what Hitler did in Germany in the 1930s. It’s why people are calling it fascist!

This is what dictatorship looks like to me!

For all Trump’s bluster against Russia, Greenland, Panama and Iran, there is little substance.

America has a history of wading into countries with massive initial success, followed by an elongated period of being bogged down before finally being booted out. It’s a dire record.

and Syria

It’s time the USA, Russia, China, North Korea and Iran put aside this archaic, barbaric show of strength. Civilisation advances. The world deserves better. Forget the bluster and bullying.
