A number of other Australian Birds.
I’ve just returned from recording our second radio show. Mike is a great friend of mine. He used to be the Roadie with Free, Bad Company and Robin Trower. We’ve been messing about doing some Radio shows on Rock Music. We’ve got seventy roughly planned out. Our first show was Merseybeat and this second one is Sixties Psychedelia.
We’ve been doing these as 1 hour Radio Shows. So far nobody wants to put them out but we’re enjoying making them.
What do you think we should do next?
Rock ‘n’ Roll?
Electric Blues of the 1950s?
West Coast Acid Rock?
Punk?
I’ll get this converted to an MP3 and put it out on the blog as soon as I can. I’m going to listen to it now!
Every cloud has a silver lining. As I was unable to complete the St Oswald’s Way walk I hobbled off to the Farne Islands off the coast of Northumberland.
What I found was mind-zapping! Bird life that was stupendous! Puffins, Cormorants, Shags, Guillemots, Terns and more. They were fabulous.
You could walk up to the birds and see them up close. I’ve never seen so many. I loved it. We’d gone at the right time. There were hundreds of nests and chicks. Incredible!!
Oh – and there were seals!
Here’s a few photos:
Yorkshire is a beautiful county. The sun always shines.
I write and take shots in the hopes that we preserve all this beauty in nature for future generations to wonder at – and of course for all the other creatures that inhabit this planet with us. They are all as important as we are!! They need protecting and caring for!
