What I think about Trump, MAGA and Vance.

I think what has happened is that the story coming in from Social Media has normalised hate. Musk and Zuckerberg control the narrative. The billionaires are covering their trail.

Immigration is a problem. Mass immigration has become too much. Wars, repressive regimes, poverty and global warming has created a huge problem. Trump and Social Media have focussed on this (same with Reform in the UK). It is a problem, but the real problem is the Billionaires. Society has become totally unbalanced. The billionaires are clawing far too big a slice. They are costing us far more than we spend on migrants – particularly when you consider most migrants are hard-working people doing hard work in fields, hospitals, care homes and catering for low pay – jobs that the rest of us don’t want to do.

Immigration is not the problem; billionaires are the problem. They are exploiting us!

Social Media has scapegoated immigrants. There is a problem and they have exaggerated it. They’ve demonised socialism, caring, empathy and compassion – these things are seen as weakness. It’s all about strength, winners and losers, black and white. The real culprits – the billionaires who have been siphoning off more and more of the wealth – are controlling the narrative. The result is to empower racism, white supremacy and Nazis. Where these groups were a small minority they, due to the fear narrative of immigrants, Muslims and terrorism, soaked in conspiracy, deliberate undermining of authority, science, education and the media, have been sucking in more and more of the desperate, stupid, gullible and displaced. They blame immigrants instead of billionaires. Trump is orchestrating the fear and hate and targeting liberals. They like that. They have an enemy. It’s black and white. Trump puts forward a simplistic answer and a consistent set of lies. He’s in it for the power and money and is creaming the system – making millions. His family are raking it in.
Draining the swamp!!! He’s created a whole new swamp!!
He’s tapped into the white supremacists, gun lobby, evangelicals, Nazi groups and ‘We Will Not Be Replaced’ movement.
These deprived idiots who make up MAGA just hate. They see themselves as strong, macho types who despise the educated. They think the educated look down on them. Trump gives them a voice and simple answers they can understand. The fact that it’s populist nonsense doesn’t matter. They’ve bought into it. If it doesn’t work they deflect the blame on to sabotage from ‘liberals’.
Vance is an opportunist who bought into a road to power and wealth. He changed his tune and has become the attack dog, the sounding bell. He’s positioning himself to mimic Trump with more virulence. He’s going to take over MAGA and displace the old man. Vance has seen that the more extreme his shit the more the MAGA nuts lap it up. Whereas Trump is a narcissist with psychopathic/sociopathic tendencies, Vance is a calculated psychopath. The ambush in the White House showed his nature. He’s cruel and nasty.

The Tories said we could have our cake and eat it – now they are stuffed and voters are hungry.

This article in the Guardian sums up the whole mess created by Boris Johnson and his band of Rabid ERG nutcases.

These profiteering chancers, with their racist/xenophobic nationalism, have been bleeding the country dry, lying through their teeth, promising the earth, delivering nothing and walking off with the loot.

Apart from being seriously demented they have been cynically devious. In order to get their crackpot agenda through they ousted anybody who disagreed – the rational Tories were kicked out (Rory Stewart, Ken Clarke, Heseltine, Hammond etc) or side-lined, opposition, such as the BBC, was loaded with xenophobic Tories or ostracised, and they set about pouring out propaganda and falsehoods through their media channels. All the problems created by their extreme policies (Covid deaths, damaged economy, Fishing, Agriculture, HGV, NHS, Education, Northern Ireland, empty shelves, red-tape, tariffs, energy costs, Care sector, Petrol price increases, cost of living……) was all due to ‘global forces’, The EU being awkward, Russia, China, antibrexiteers, lefties, Covid.

The reality is that they and their cronies are making a mint out of the situation.

Most of these problems are the direct result of their lousy policies!

They have run down public services and then complain that nurses, doctors, teachers and carers are not performing.

They run down the Care System and then complain that the system is broke.

They look at rising crime, backlogs in the courts and pretend it’s nothing to do with cuts to police, cuts to youth services and cuts to education.

For twelve years they have imposed austerity on the poor, cut education, health, police, armed forces, council funding, libraries, youth services and throw their hands up in the air when society starts breaking down.

They deliberately create the hardest Brexit possible and blame the EU when it doesn’t work.

They impose a hostile environment driving out doctors, nurses, HGV drivers, teachers, carers, caterers and the like and wonder why everything starts to collapse.

Meanwhile, they are raking in millions through investments, lobbying and second jobs.

Their lies and promises have come to nothing. People are beginning to see them as the profiteering pigs they have always been.

The hybrid of a clown, scarecrow and Billy Bunter continues to rule. I can’t believe anybody believed a word he said!

He’s lied about Brexit with its sunny uplands.

He’s lied about Covid with its world-beating track and trace.

He’s lied about wallpaper, parties, donors, the NHS, Care……………

When he doesn’t like something he simply ignores the rules and laws and does what he wants. That includes breaking international laws and lying to the Queen and the people.

He says the first thing that comes into his head.

He’s been overseeing the sleaziest government we’ve ever had.

Every time he’s caught out he looks around for a scapegoat!

Boris Johnson Fighting Sleaze

How do you fight sleaze? As every populist knows you look for scapegoats, the French are handy, but there are always refugees, you summon up racist images and panda to the most obnoxious. Deflect attention from the blatant sleaze onto other topics. Talk shit.

It worked for Trump and Bolsonaro, Oban, Modi and Erdogan. It is working for Johnson.

They are getting away with murder and will walk away rich beyond belief.

Fascism – the cause and who is milking it.

Patriotism is just nationalism dressed up pretty – both despicable. One people – one world – all important.

The cause of fascism?

It’s when people start being in fear of their jobs or struggling to survive. They look for the reasons. The fascist politicians like Trump point to immigrants, blacks and Latinos. They say stupid shit like Make America Great Again, Build Walls and support outdated industry.

It’s no answer but it makes sense to some people.

The real problem is inequality. AI and automation have made ordinary workers redundant. Outsourcing to third world countries with cheap labour and terrible work conditions, no health and safety and no environmental limitations exacerbates the problem.

The rich get richer at the expense of the poor.

Trump was cynical. He played on the fears and hopes. He is a billionaire, masquerading as a friend to the poor, who was feathering his nest, stirring up division and hate and coming up with silly solutions for his own ends..

Walls and old tech are not going to solve this. The wealthy have to be taxed more leading to a greater distribution of wealth. At present, it is all being channelled to the top.

We’re only seeing the tip of this. Much worse is to come.

When driverless cars and self-stacking supermarkets happen the drivers and shelf-stackers on zero-hours will be pushed out. The majority of people will not be needed. The wealthy owners will take all the money.

We either sort it with taxation or we end up with the extreme wealthy living in walled communities protected by drones and robots while the rest of us fight it out for scraps in order to survive on nothing. That’s when it descends into Mad Max and fascism.

The people who support Trump or Bolsonaro foolishly think these macho guys will fix it.

The macho guys like Trump and Bolsonaro are conning them all. They are part of the problem. They are the billionaires siphoning off the money. They don’t want to ‘fix’ the problem. They offer short-term solutions.

Fascism breeds off fear, insecurity, inequality and dread of the future. Fascism requires scapegoats, elitism and easy solutions. Fascism is the ultimate right-wing control.
