Confidence in Mrs May

Confidence in Mrs May

They’ve no confidence in you Mrs May!

An understatement if I may say.

But I had confidence in you right from the start

To screw up the country – you vicious little tart!

You’ve screwed the poor and given to the rich

While steering Brexit into the ditch!

You’ve privatised the NHS, cut the police and army.

You are treating us as if we are all barmy!

There are big tax cuts for the fat cats

While scoffing at us – the scurvy rats.

Our confidence in you did soar

As universal credit savaged the poor.

We knew exactly what you were all about;

Your lying words left little doubt!

You represent big corporations;

Always party before the good of the nation!

You played us all like stupid fools

With gimmick after gimmick into our schools;

Cuts and cuts of austerity

Bringing the country down to its knees –

All mealy-mouthed ideology

Spouted forth from you to me!

I’ve always had confidence in you

To do the worst that you could do!

Now everybody wants to boot you out!

Good riddance!!

Shut the door on your way out!!

Mrs May Run Away

Mrs May Run Away

Mrs May run away

Kindly go away and play!

Write your memoirs

Stash your loot.

We’ve had enough

We don’t give a toot!

You’ve done your worst

You’ve done us in!

The country’s sinking

Into a scummy dustbin!

You’ve squashed the poor

Messed up the schools

And treated everyone

Like a bunch of fools.

You’ve nearly broken the NHS

And left the police in an utter mess.

Even the trains don’t run on time

As we’re all stabbed by the rising crime.

Is anything safe in your grubby mits?

As you cling to power, leaving us in bits!

The courts don’t work

No justice to be found

As you drove the nation into the ground.

‘Brexit means Brexit!’ You stupid prat!

Get ye hence you nasty old bat!

So Mrs May run away

Kindly go away and play!

Write your memoirs

Stash your loot.

We’ve had enough

We don’t give a toot!

May – time to wake up and smell the coffee!!

We need a solution to this Brexit madness. The uncertainty is killing us! We have to have a way out of this deadlock! Firms are leaving. There’s no investment! The pound is down. The economy is suffering.
This obstinacy is simply stupid bullshit! Brexit is not Brexit! As anyone with any brains can see – there are a number of possibilities for Brexit!

Either present the options to the people or to parliament. Let’s settle it one way or another!

Here’s some of the alternatives:

Remain
May’s Deal
Brexit – leave both the single market and customs union
Brexit – leave the single market but stay in the customs union
Brexit – stay in both the single market and customs union

Mrs May –
If we want to get out of this madness put it back to the people!

Failing that put it to parliament and let them decide!

Either way stop being so bloody minded! Your obstinate stupidity is creating mayhem!

ProBrexit demonstration dwarfed by counter demonstration!!

We are constantly being told that to have a democratic People’s Vote would result in a huge breakdown of law and order! Bollocks!!

The fear is that the right-wing bootboys will take to the streets and rampage. The reality is that these fascists are a tiny minority and the population have had enough of their violent tactics and intolerant, racist rhetoric.

Tommy Robinson’s rally was vastly overshadowed by people who are sick to death with this rise of fascism. We fought a war against it. To be British is to be tolerant and outgoing. We have always welcomed refugees!! We are not going to allow these intolerant racists, fascists, Islamophobes and xenophobes to set the agenda. We want our compassionate country back!

The British people have spoken with their feet and actions!! They neither want right-wing stridency nor Brexit!!

We want to be an outgoing, pleasant country!

Here’s to the People’s Vote!!

The great betrayal of Britain! Betrayal of the People! Give us a People’s Vote!

What is quite clear is that the majority of people in Britain do not want to be made a lot poorer!

The majority do not want their public services decimated!

The majority of people want to remain in the EU!

The polls tell us that this is so!

The majority of MPs, who have access to more information than us, know that to leave the EU will gravely damage the country!

There is a clear majority in parliament to stay in the EU!

Yet we are hoisted on our own petard. A reckless vote has locked us in to a poorer future!

Jobs will be lost. Chaos will ensue. Billions of pounds will be needlessly thrown away.

It is madness!!

Yet it is not just about economics. This is about a lot more than that! This xenophobic backlash has empowered the racists and fascists to do things they have never dreamt of doing before.

Football racism is back! Bananas have been thrown on pitches! Racial taunts are back! Eastern Europeans and coloured people are being abused. on a daily basis. Islamophobia is rife. Muslims are being labelled rapists, sex molesters and terrorists.

Right-wing fascists are marching on our streets. They are given status and lauded as the peoples’ heroes.

It’s time to take our country back!! I want the tolerant, friendly country I remember – built on respect!

It’s time to stand up for a decent Britain!

Botched and Bungled – a poem

Botched and Bungled

Botched, bungled, Brexit

Bashing Britain!

Emotive, effusive, embroiled,

Epochal and unethical.

Divided, dangerous, damnable,

Dastardly and demoralizing.

Fake, fraudulent, faltering,

Faulty and fractious.

In short – it stinks.

What a big mistake! To be driven by fear and hatred to vote Brexit; to be harking back to times that never existed – the dark days of poverty, racism and social inequality.

What a mistake to make the country poorer and weaker so that our children and grandchildren inherit a worse country!

What a mistake to allow these ideological politicians to destroy our public services, make money out of us and screw the poor.

Choices. The real question on Brexit.

Now let me see?

We have a choice.

We can be ruled by a bunch of far-right ideological Tories who will destroy our public services, hammer the poor and privatise everything so that their rich mates can make more money out of us, or we can be ruled from the EU with more sane policies?

I don’t know. A difficult one.

The Choice – a poem

The Choice

To shoot, strangle, poison, gas

Or cut our own wrists.

We’ve been busy

Digging our own graves.

We know who will be the ones

To be screwed.

Our public services

And the poor

Will pay the price.

The rats are already

Loading their rafts

With loot,

Stuffing their pockets

And laughing

All the way

To the bankers bonus.

I was not surprised to hear that Rees-Mogg had moved his wealth abroad. He is worth millions. He wouldn’t want its worth to decline.

You can bet your last quid that the wealthy will not suffer from the decline in our economy if we do go out. They love chaos. They are already working out ways to profit.

While we will be slashing our wrists they will be straining their backs carrying their sacks of gold abroad.

The Question of Brexit

What is loyalty to our country?

Is it loyal to make the country worse?

Or is it more loyal to want it better?

Who is fighting for our children’s future?

Who is putting ideology before pragmatism?

Who is putting the country first?

Who is creating division?

Who is responsible for uncertainty?

Is it democratic to vote or not to vote?

Should a general election be forever?

Is it being loyal to destroy our public services?

Is it loyal to penalise the poor?

Is it patriot to push through a deal that you know will be bad for the country?

Or more patriotic to rethink and bring it to a halt?

Is it not just bloody mindedness to press ahead in the face of disaster?

Is wishful thinking a good patriotic policy?

Oh – the question of Brexit!

Full and Frank Disclosure!

Brexit is the most important event in the UK since the Second World War. It is going to have a massive effect on the country.

We are coming up to one of the most momentous vote of the past 80 years.

We need a full and frank discussion on the details and implications.

What is in the legal advice that the government does not want in the public arena?

Why can’t we have all the information?

What are they hiding?

We have a vote in parliament on whether the government is holding parliament in contempt. It’s a waste of time. We already know the Tories are contemptible.
