Flamborough – a walk around the lighthouse.

On Saturday we took a walk along the cliffs at Flamborough. The white chalky cliffs shone in the bright sunshine. There were many wild birds on the cliffs. The new lighthouse stood on the top of the cliffs. Seals lolled on the pebbly beaches. Incredibly beautiful scenery.

Australia – Newcastle – off to the nature reserve. Corellas playing in the palms. Tree frogs and birds.

We walked up into the rainforest with views over the city, sipped a delicious coconut and walked down through the colourful streets to the beach. On the way we passed the slum favellas where the masses of poor people live. On the beach were the skyscrapers with their multimillion dollar apartments.

A land of contrasts.
