Further down the river, we headed for a nature reserve. There were shallow lagoons, mangrove swamps, waterfowl and fruit bats in the trees.

He headed off into the interior to a nature reserve based around a river and waterfall very popular with the locals.

We were heading down to the Rock festival at Skegness in Lincolnshire and stopped off at the nature reserve at Donna Nook to see the seals and their cubs. They were beautiful.
