The right always try to spread fear, blow up problems into catastrophes and induce hate in order to divide.

They live on fear, hate and division.

In the 30s it was the Jews.

In the 50s it was the blacks.

In the sixties and seventies it was the Pakistanis.

Now it’s all immigrants!

Let’s try to keep things in proportion. Don’t allow fear and hate to divide us!

Democratic Interference!

We are (vaguely) aware of the Russian interference in Western democracy.

Firstly they interfered with the Brexit vote. They wanted to break up Europe and weaken it.

Secondly they interfered with the US elections. They wanted Trump who they saw as a disrupter.

It is quite clear that Russia, China and Iran would very much like to undermine the NATO alliance and weaken Europe and the USA.

They are doing a good job.

But the undermining of democracy (by feeding misinformation and undermining trust) does not stop with Russia, China and Iran. Far from it. A leaked memo clearly demonstrates how the USA wishes to influence and subvert the democratic process in Europe and around the world.

Trump, and his right-wing henchmen, along with the evangelicals and the designers of Project 2025, not only have their eyes set on creating an authoritarian regime in the USA that fully controls the democratic process (taking over courts, school boards, universities, democratic mechanisms, media and installing staunch MAGA officials to subvert elections); they want to extend their reach to other countries.

In Brazil the extreme right-winger Bolsonaro was ousted and, like Trump, sought to overturn the result by foul means. Indeed, the comparison is very apt. He too lost. Unlike Trump he is not standing trial for trying to subvert the democratic process. Trump is outraged. He’s calling the trial a witch-hunt, commanding Brazil to drop the charges and threatening a 35% tariff if they refuse. That is blatant interference!

In Europe Trump and his right-wing minions are chuntering about immigrants and stirring up fear and hate. They are suggesting that there is going to be a Muslim take-over and our cultures are going to be displaced. We are going to be subjected to Sharia law under a Muslim theocracy. Apart from just putting out a stream of scaremongering misinformation through the internet and over their TV networks, the memo talks about openly using tactics to directly affect elections in European countries to facilitate the election of people like the far-right, anti-immigrant Dutch politician Geert Wilders and the German far-right AFD.

This is starting to look like an attempt at world domination.

I hope the memo is not accurate but I fear it is. I thought the Project 2025 was fat to radical to be true. Despite it being hotly denied it’s become the playbook for the Trump administration.

This is scary stuff. In my opinion Trump and his far-right numbskulls pose a far bigger threat than any Muslims. Their threat is real!

Why do the exploited poor always think that some smarmy multimillionaire conman actually cares about them??

This slimy parasite is raking in millions a year for doing fuck all.

He spends his time with Trump and his far-right acolytes instead of his constituency of Clacton.

He’s married to a German and claims to have the answer to mass immigration. What’s he going to do? Build a wall around Britain? Torpedo inflatables? Set up concentration camps?

Trump was going to solve the Ukraine war in ONE DAY!!

He broke Britain with Brexit which is costing us a fortune and now he’s after more of your money!!

Just Think – This loony, Trump-adoring, extremist was actually Prime Minister for thirty seconds!!

My views: Immigration – the three options.

Immigration – the three options:

There is a great deal of controversy around how immigrants should behave and how they should relate to their host community. It is one that arouses great emotions on all sides. It would seem that the host community becomes extremely alarmed when their culture and way of life is displaced by large numbers of immigrants. Areas of the North of England seem to have been completely taken over by large numbers of Asians. The churches replaced by mosques, Western clothes displaced by Middle-Eastern/Indian costume. Many white people feel threatened and afraid to go into these Asian enclaves.

The same thing happened in other areas where large numbers of Eastern Europeans came in to take up field work resulting in a language problem and the opening of Easter European shops.

The endemic population felt threatened and forced out.

This tendency for immigrants to group together is a natural one. Being in a strange culture can feel threatening. Foreigners are often subjected to racism and threats. They group together for security and to have the familiarity of culture.

Ironically, the white population who appear to be most outspoken and outraged, are the same ones who are happy to go to Spain (and elsewhere) with their English flags and set up their fish and chip shops and English pubs, refuse to speak the native language and adopt the mores of the local community. There is a superiority and arrogance about it that is even more repulsive.

So how should immigrants behave? Presumably they came to the country because something attracted them? Should they then attempt to recreate the place they migrated from?

It appears to me that there are three options:

  1. Assimilation
  2. Partial Assimilation
  3. Retention of own culture and Apartheid.

In future posts I will address each of these options in turn.

What has happened to politics??

I think we can trace it right back to 9/11. When the planes flew into the World Trade Centre the world changed.

We were going along quite nicely – standard of living was good, we were getting on top of racism. Progress was slow but we were heading in the right direction.

9/11 and the wave of extreme Muslim terrorism sparked off a reaction. Fear created paranoia. There was a rise in racism and a surge of nationalism – kick out immigrants, shut the borders.

Populists seized their opportunity, rode this wave of fear and racism, stoked up hate and division and gained power.

Politics became extreme.

In the USA it resulted in Tea Party madness and then Trump. The rabid far-right populist loonies took over the Republican Party and transformed it into a fascist party.

In the UK we had the lunacy of Brexit followed by a take-over of the Tory Party by the ERG and the election of Johnson the affable populist clown (really a cynical narcissist).

The whole world lurched to the far-right with the election of nutcases like Bolsonaro, Oban, Modi, Erdogan and Morrison.

Searching for the source of chaos

Is not a difficult task.

Look who’s sowing division

In his KKK mask.

Look who sacks anybody

Who disagrees with him.

Look who sulks petulantly,

Perpetually looks grim.

The harbinger of chaos

Can’t even read a book.

Is ignorant of science

And is nothing but a crook.

He won’t show us his tax returns

Or his Russian connections.

All he’s got inside his head

Is winning the elections.

He loves to have the power

And craves more wealth.

The only person he loves

Is the image of himself.

He’ll stir up the rioting

And condone the killers.

With snout in the trough

With all the other swillers.

The source of all the chaos

Is hiding in plain sight.

Pretending to have solutions

But never getting it right.

He feeds his loyal base

With cynical concessions.

While sneering at their loyalty

And feeding their obsessions.

The master of fake news

And conspiracy theory.

Tweeting long into the night

When other eyes are bleary.

Out on the golf course

In the midst of emergency.

Calling hoax, misinforming;

Not understanding urgency.

He does not care about people.

Has no ounce of compassion.

He’ll do anything for a vote.

The truth is on ration.

The architect of chaos

Is serving up the blame.

Passing the buck

Without an ounce of shame.

Trump has been actively inciting and dividing, lying and cheating, all his life. He thinks that’s the only way. He thinks that is what is meant by doing business.

He presents himself as something he isn’t – a successful businessman, a friend to the poor.

The gullible fall for it. They believe he’s fighting the alien lizards! That’s it, those lizards live out on the golf course!

He’s standing on the steps;

A most immoral man,

Looking for a photo op

With the bible in their hand.

A friend of infamous Epstein

With a liking for young girls.

He’ll peddle bleach and UV light

Or anything that sells.

For wealth and power

He’ll gladly divide the land.

Make us of anybody

Then sack them out of hand.

To find his past administration

Look inside a jail.

That’s where his bunch of crooks

End up, without fail.

The leader of the world;

A man of scurrilous character.

Friends with the worst of men

An evil man – so sinister.

There is no end to the blatant hypocrisy displayed by Trump – man who uses religion to gain support but is the most impious, immoral man on the planet. He lies, cheats and makes crooked deals.

He is so incredibly brazen. He just rides the lies and acts like they are the truth.

Now, having been created division and hatred he is looking to exploit it for his own ends.
