Looks like the USA has to choose!

Either continue its support for allies in NATO against aggression from Russia, North Korea and China or side with our traditional enemies to make a new world order.

So – is it Britain, France, Germany, Canada, Australia and New Zealand (plus most Western European countries – Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Poland etc)

Or is it North Korea, Russia and China.

The focus is Ukraine right now but Russia has declared the UK is their number one enemy and is openly threatening us with nuclear holocaust. They are cutting our communication cables, blowing up underwater pipelines, tracking all cables and pipelines and attacking us on a daily basis with incursions and cyber warfare.

Is the USA with us or against us?

The fact that Trump is openly supporting extreme right-wing pro-Putin Europeans like Oban and Wilders, Farage and Tice, indicates what he wants.

From where I am the USA has become a totalitarian, fascist regime. The MAGA movement is openly backing fascists, racists and totalitarian regimes.

The extreme right-wing movements like ‘We Shall Not Be Replaced’ are setting the agenda – misogyny, racism and fascism rules. The extreme religious right-wing nutters are propelling this!

Just think – if MAGA had been in charge back in the 1930s they WOULD have sided with Hitler and Japan to rule the world. There was a minority movement to do just that.

I don’t think the majority of Americans are racist misogynists. I don’t think they want to turn their back on their friends to embrace their enemies. Will they allow Trump and MAGA to do this?

This is really what the election’s about!

Out of the Closet

Out of the closet the nationalist loonies

Are fuelled with false nostalgia.

The ageing racists, yearning for Empire,

Now suffering from neuralgia.

Full of Dunkirk spirit and bravado of the Blitz

They think the bloody Tories know what is best.

Fed on tabloid propaganda, they believe the fascist lies

And think that profiteers are better than the rest.

They’ve adopted Tommy Robinson and fear the Muslim threat,

And believe that the sodding EU is the cause of all their pain.

While all the time they’re being conned

It’s Tory austerity that sends their earnings down the drain!

They’re the mental English lower classes

Who haven’t got a clue – so just believe the internet stories,

Wallow in self-pity, for a life they never knew

Never thinking for a second they’re being robbed by the Tories

There are a whole bunch of working-class and middle-class people who have been completely duped by the tabloid propaganda and internet scare stories spread by the establishment.

They’ve been whipped into fear-driven hysteria out of all proportion to reality. They have been fed exaggerated garbage that has inflamed deep insecurity, brought out their xenophobic and racist attributes, and turned them into nationalists.

They have evoked the good old British spirit of Dunkirk and the blitz – back to a time when life was wonderful – except it never was, was it?

Those days were hard, cold, impoverished and miserable. Housing was poor, there were no amenities, no money, poor diets, long hours, poor pay and grim conditions. We were cold, hungry and sick. Kids died. Kids went to school sewn into their clothes. Kids had no shoes and tied rags round their feet in snow. Women worked themselves to death with no washing machines or dishwashers. Aaah – the good old days, when Britain was great – when the wealth of the Empire when straight into the stately homes and the workers lived in slums, working twelve hours a day on bread and dripping.

The establishment have directed this hysteria against the EU and deflected it away from the real cause of the deep-seated problems – Tory policy.

The Tories represent this wealthy elite. For ten years they have plundered the public services, robbed from the poor and given to the wealthy through tax cuts and tax loopholes.

They have created a land of billionaires and paupers!!

And people have voted for this bunch of privileged profiteers!! They really believe that people like Trump, Johnson, Farage and Bolsonaro have their interests at heart.

They have been duped into believing that Corbyn is a monster.

You get what you deserve.

What I think about Brexit and this extreme right-wing government led by a clown. Do I respect democracy?

 I do respect democracy. Criticising the incompetence and nastiness of this government is not disrespecting democracy.

I know Corbyn would have done a far better job. I look at the policies. As you know, it is the civil service that put the policies into practice. As long as the policies are sound then the rest follows. Corbyn could not possibly have done a worse job than Johnson and there is no way he would have been as corrupt or self-serving.

I always respect democracy. I am not challenging Johnson’s right to rule or the choice of Brexit – though I believe both results were achieved through lies, deception and dirty tricks.

Brexit was a massive mistake that has severely damaged the country.

Johnson’s handling of Covid has been appalling. He’s kills tens of thousands through ineptitude.

What I, in a democracy, have the perfect right to do is to criticise the way this buffoon has governed, his corruption and sleaze, his lies and broken promises, his ineptitude and stupidity. That is the essence of democracy.

Brexit could have been carried out in many ways. It was obvious with such a close vote that there was no mandate for a hard Brexit. It should have been a soft Brexit which would have respected the views of the country. We should have left the EU but stayed in the single market and customs union. That would have been democratic.

Instead Johnson and the extreme rabid right-wing ERG chose the most extreme form and forced their extreme views on us all to the detriment of the country. This hard Brexit is costing us a fortune, destroying businesses and jobs and tieing us up in red-tape and tariffs.

I am a democrat despite my misgivings about the ignorance, stupidity and gullibility of the majority of the public.

The Story of Fascism

It starts with fear and hatred

Of the outsider,

Of all who are different.

It proceeds through blame

To attribute the wrongs

To the chosen targets.

It creates simplistic panaceas

Of black and white.

It is idealistic.

If only these problems

Were addressed,

These people removed,

Perfection could be achieved.

It operates through an air of superiority

Through arrogance and certainty.

Only some are worthy.

There is a hierarchy of evils.

There are means to an end.

Power is the vehicle.

Morality is shelved.

The solution requires

The methodology.

Compassion is a weakness.

It is a cancer.

It is a cancer.

It is a cancer.

That cancer is destroyed through the chemo of education, love, friendship and the final recognition that we are no better than anybody else.

We are all one, all equal.

If we work together we are stronger.

It seems we are always going through this cycle where we embrace this ideology of fascism. We are going through a phase. The right is on the march. Populism, with all its ugly hate and fear, is a growing phenomenon.

Fear of Muslims. Fear of immigration. Fear of the outsiders. It seems to generate a response. That response is a great lurch to the right. Hysteria. Fascism.

We’ve fought wars to rid ourselves of this scourge but still is regularly arises.

These people see themselves as warriors standing up for the purity of their race. They feed off the stories that generate fear and hate. They exaggerate and invent the horror stories until the minds are clouded and the defence mode is paramount.

Yes – that is true. You kill fascism through education, intercourse and understanding. Music is more powerful than bullets.
