Poetry – I’m White

I’m White

I’m white in the light

But I’m black at night.

For a genus so bright

It seems we rarely get it right.

Now I don’t mean to be facetious

But I’m not proud of my species.

Geologically we’re new

Though we think we know it all.

We take in the view

But before the sky we’re small.

We may share all the genes

But don’t know what that means,

Worship Gods, Kings and Queens

And still want to steal the scenes

Now I don’t want to be facetious………

I see air-head studs

Posing on the beach

Of the apocalypse

For dead-brain bitches

With fake tits

Smacking their lips.

I guess that while there’s still air to suck

We’ll fuck it up.

I’m White – a poem about my species and stupidity.

Somewhere out there are a bunch of blinkered white supremacists.

Somewhere out there are a bunch of blinkered black supremacists.

Somewhere out there are a bunch of blinkered brown, red, pink, orange, yellow and green supremacists.

The Jews, Christians and Muslims all worship the same god and kill each other for it. Seemingly she delights in giving different commandments to different cliques. She probably is a bit disturbed and enjoys watching the terror it causes.

There are some with so much they can afford to sponsor wars while others cry because they haven’t got a mouthful to feed their children.

Politics, religion, skin colour, ear-lobe shape, gender, height, eye-colour, nose shape, breasts – it doesn’t take much to start a war.

My DNA testing for Heredity and Race.

I have just received the results of my genetic testing. I am a little surprised!

I think everybody should have one of these tests. It can blow all the racist attitudes to pieces.

Our genetics reveals our history. We are not easily identified as any particular race or nationality. It is quite clear that our ancestors migrated, moved around and intermarried. That is human nature. We fall in love with people from other races and nationalities. The vast majority of us are hybrids.

I think some of those racists, nationalists and white supremacists might get a shock or two if they were to look into their genetic history.

I am British. I was born in the South of England. I know I have some Scottish and Irish ancestry. I also know that, as a Brit, my distance ancestors came from all over Europe – mainly Germany, France, Italy and Scandinavia. There were no British people. We are all immigrants. We displaced the Celts, who retreated to Scotland, Cornwall, Wales and Ireland.

I expected all that to be reflected in my genetic make-up.

I was disappointed with my profile. I was hoping for some Asian and African but nope.

What was interesting was that being English (with parents and grandparents born in England), I might expect a high proportion of my genes to be English. They weren’t.

My profile is :

81.2% – North West European (German, Austrian, French)

15.6% – Celtic (Scottish, Irish, Welsh)

1.8% – Iberian (Spanish, Portuguese)

1.4% – English

No wonder I oppose Brexit. I know I am (like most white British people) European.

I think it might do racists and extreme nationalist good to know that their genetics might show that they are not as ‘limited’ as they think they are.

It would have been nice to have a wider base but I guess I’d have to go back a bit further from that. After all, we all came out of Africa.

Poetry – No Lives Matter

No Lives Matter

This is the West

All that matters is the loot.

We’re pawns in a game,

Under the master’s boot.

The masters happen to be white.

Their rule is absolute.

There’s a pyramid

Of priority.

At the bottom are all the creatures.

A hierarchy of importance,

Where, if you’re human,

You’ve got to have the right features.

I have white privilege

On account of my skin.

Equality is a rude word,

In fact, it’s a sin.

Racism’s a tool they use

To divide and rule.

To give privilege to one race

While treating us all like fools.

All that really matters

Are the wealthy elite.

They’ll blast us, poison us

Brainwash us

Til we fall down at their feet.

If you want to change the system

You’re just commie loons.

They’ll allow you to protest

And then send in the goons.

They foster division.

If we’re at each other’s throat

They’ll go unnoticed,

So they can rake it in

And gloat.

No lives really matter.

As long as we purchase all their tat.

As long as the cash rolls in

That’s the end of that.

Poetry – Death to Tribalism

Death to Tribalism

I’m brown in the sun

And black at night,

But in the light,

I’m white.

I’m privileged

And immune,

Treated with respect,

Not subject to neglect,

As a member of the select.

But I’m not happy,

I crave for equality,

A better society,

A meritocracy,

Fairer, without inequality.

I don’t care about your pigment,

Or your race.

I want to see a smile

On your face.

It’s primitive tribalism

Holding us back.

Let’s stop thinking –

Brown, white and black.

Skin Colour

skinr skin Skin

We are all children of Africa. Our species evolved from the Rift Valley in Ethiopia. We have a common ancestor with the Chimpanzees and Gorillas with who we share 99% of our genes.

There used to be a number of different species of hominids but unfortunately only two survived to recent times and our close relatives, the Neanderthals, didn’t make it. We are alone.

We nearly didn’t either. At one point it appears that our numbers got so perilously low that extinction was the more likely option. We prevailed.

Now we are present in teeming numbers (7 billion and counting) and are changing the very eco-structure and climate of the planet.

We appear to be so different yet we are not. I look at Asian, African, Australian and European and I see differences. Under the skin, aside from the cosmetics of appearance, we are the same. Incredibly there is more genetic variation within groups than between groups. We can all be traced back to the same mother.

I wonder. I can imagine her sitting on her haunches in that African valley, cradling her first born, surveying the landscape, watching the rest of her troupe, and wondering. She could have had no idea.

At first our skin was black; full of the pigment melanin. That black pigment gave us protection against the strong UV light of the African sun. That sun gave us Vitamin D but it also gave us melanoma. With our hairless bodies we need protection.

When we migrated out of Africa to more temperate regions we underwent minor mutations. They gave us our body shapes, our facial characteristics and our skin colours. The different races of mankind were born.

We were all black once.

In terms of skin colour the reasons are simple. We need Vitamin D to keep us healthy and give us strong bones. We need protection against UV Light to prevent skin cancer. It is a balance. In the tropical sun the skin needs to be black. In the temperate regions white. And in the between regions shades of brown.

Our skin colour is the result of minor mutations to balance protection from the UV rays and the production of vitamins.

Now we settle in various parts of the world there are certain lessons we need to learn. If you are black and living in Norway then take some vitamin supplement and get out in the sun as much as possible. If you are white and living in Africa then cover up and use strong sun shield.

Incredible to think that such pragmatic evolution should have resulted in such prejudice, discrimination, racism and hatred.

Human beings are a recent evolutionary invention. We are not yet civilised. We have much to learn. We are still cruel, tribal and incredibly stupid.

It is our mother’s birthday! We should all celebrate.
