Poetry – Energy

Energy

Energy energy

Flowing freely

Harmoniously.

Gloriously glowing

In unifying

Pulsating beauty.

Connecting

With rays, beams

And currents.

Radiating throughout,

Joining us all

Into one.

I think I’ve been having a burst of metaphysics with mystical overtones. I’m over it now.

Marvelling at the universe and the human condition is a pleasure in life. It excites me. Everyone should be elated by it. But please don’t trap it in religion!

Poetry – Lost in Infinity

Lost in Infinity

Lost in infinity.

                Adrift from gravity,

                                With no memory,

                                                No clarity.

Does the universe exist

                If we are not there?

If nobody exists

                Does it spin everywhere?

Is there darkness

                With no light?

Distance

                Without matter?

If there

                Is nothing

Do dreams

                Shatter?

Opher – 6.10.2020

It is interesting to allow the mind to wander through infinity. We take our lives, our reality, for granted. We accept the proof of our senses. But those senses are wrong.

Reality is much weirder than we think. It probably doesn’t exist at all.

Is it our consciousness that creates the whole of the universe? Nothing more?

My Surreal Sixties Weird Book – Part 2 – Chapter 9 – Happy/Sad

This was a strange one. Reality dreams and we are those dreams. Each day a new world, a new life with new memories? Or always the same?

All we can do is live it to the full and not waste a single second.

9.

The day had been exceedingly boring. Nothing had happened at all. It was a day empty of content, devoid of interest and lacking in excitement.

Messny drifted through the hours moping about lethargically. There was nothing to disturb his apathy or capture his attention. He felt tired and mentally jaded and could think of nothing to motivate himself, to stimulate him into snapping out of his morose state. By evening he was thoroughly depressed without a clue of how he could dig himself out of this rut. There was nowhere he wanted to go, nothing he wanted to do and nobody he wanted to see. It was just one of those dreary miserable days that you wanted to crawl off into a cocoon and wait for it to end.

He sulkily flicked through the channels on the TV but, as predicted, there was nothing worth watching.

At last he gave in and went to bed where he lay staring up at the ceiling for ages before finally dropping off to sleep.

It was a rebirth.

As soon as his mind switched off it switched on.

He woke to a beautiful day. The morning was bright and sunny as was his disposition. Cheerily he jumped out of bed. There was far too much to do to waste time lazing around. He’d never fit it in. life was such a rush. There was never enough time.

Bathroom, dressing and breakfast were attacked with haste. He could not wait. There was a whole day to fill with delight – places to go, people to meet, things to talk about, friends to spent time with, things to create, flavours, colours and sounds to relish, films to watch, books to read, books to write and games to be played – so much pleasure to pack into the excitement of another day.

My Weird Surreal Sixties Book – Part 2 – Beginning of infinity – Poem

This is part 2. I was delving into the nature of infinity. Where did the universe come from? Where did god come from?

Now I don’t believe in god. But there is something wondrous about contemplating the universe, its infinite nature and its conception. If there was a god, as a mind, then it began somewhere.

Part 2

Beginnings of Infinity

There is no beginning. There was always something there before the beginning.

But everything that has substance originated out of nothing.

That nothing is the flux.

It changes.

That is its property.

Even present day infinity has changed.

1.

Here was nothing.

For as far as nothing could imagine – nothing.

Not contained, stretching nowhere, everywhere.

Not with light, or darkness, nor even emptiness – for empty space has substance.

But here was absolute nothing – for this is nothing beyond the conception of mind – this is infinity.

Suddenly, or slowly, for there is no time, something began.

A swirling of nothing into something.

Finity was born.

In the midst of infinity – or all of infinity.

Abstract without form

Swirling in the nowhere that was here.

For a split second,

Or for all time,

It swirled.

Did it vacillate?

Did it totter between nothing and something?

Flashing in and out of existence?

Swirling back and forth –

Nothing to everything –

Everything to nothing –

Slipping back and forth

Between the infinity it was made from and the infinity it became?

Shapes and colours,

Light and form,

Pulsating energy,

Crashing sound,

Solidity and smell,

Merged with hallucinatory no form.

Matter and antimatter,

Sound and anti-sound,

With potential to cancel each other.

Unseen, unheard,

Unsought –

And so not existing – yet?

Expanding and filling –

Always filling everything.

How expanding when it is everything?

But that was what it was,

No matter how small,

Large or unimportant.

Without it there was nothing.

It was nothing.

No time passed before it began.

It will take no time.

It is total illusion – but real.

It altered.

It became attached to nothing –

A part of nothing that was mind.

This mind fluctuated on the edge of infinity, always pulled back to finity, but never making it, always somewhere.

It was formed of nothing the same as something, but very different.

This kind of something was intangible.

How far could it expand?
