Covid – the reality

It’s about intelligence and respect! It’s a virus; it’s not politics,

The Corona Diaries – Day 29

Into the fifth week of isolation!! It’s going well. There is not enough hours in the day.

Today we spent the morning decorating our bedroom. Liz cooked a few meals.

I sorted my emails, did my blog and wrote a few posts.

In the afternoon I did another walk. The day was beautiful and warm The sun shone. The May blossom looked delicious – like vanilla icecream!

Phone calls to a few friends and family, eating, drinking (a nice red), a delivery of food, the start of my read through of Ebola In the Garden of Eden (to be renamed The New Eden), and off to watch some telly!!

One room decorated, one long walk, a bit of blogging, phoning and editing!!

Quite a busy day!!

Stay well everyone! This isolation is exhausting!!

The Corona Diaries – Day 20

It was a strange day today. We had a delivery of food yesterday so there was fresh bread. Isn’t that strange to get excited because there is fresh bread? It’s just that I like it when it is fresh and crusty. It feels like a treat.

When you can’t just nip to the shop when you want little things make a difference.

This morning I sorted my blog, played a lot of Roy Harper and then spent the rest of the day painting the spare bedroom. I did the ceiling and two coats on the walls which completely knackered me. But it’s looking good.

It was a sunny day. So when I had finished we went for a walk down the lane. Two huge buzzards were circling overhead, checking out the fields for carcasses. The hedges were full of small birds and May blossom is out. Spring is going on as normal. It is us that isn’t normal.

When I got back I was totally knackered.

We’re living in a strange unreality. The world has stopped. Time is different.

I’m going back to reading and editing Farm 703. I’m hoping to get it finished in the next few days.

First I’m going to cook a meal – moules mariniere with fresh bread and a nice red Malbec. It’s so tough in this temporary prison! (But I am missing people).

We’ve only got five months, one week and one day to go!

I’m beginning to hope for a vaccine or a drug that’ll work!

Stay safe everyone! Thanks for the comments, likes, book buys and reviews. They give me a boost!!

Social Distancing.

I thought this summed it up well. We all need to do this to protect our NHS. We don’t want them overwhelmed.
