Standing in the ruins of a fourteen-year battleground;

                Smouldering public services and food banks all around.

A cost of living crisis while the wealthy dine in style

                Funnelling their excess profits to the Cayman Isles.

We’ve had VIP lanes, parties and useless PPE

                As Tory donors pocket millions with chortles of great glee.

More migrants than ever since Brexit cost us dear

                As the greedy make a killing – the reason is quite clear.

                All hay in the loft.

Cash for questions and ‘thinning of the herd’

                ‘Sacrifice the elderly’ from that shambolic nerd.

Lying is second nature as he rides his bus.

                Placing the economy in the hands of stupid Liz Truss.

‘All in it together’ was the lying battle cry.

                Robbing from the poor and let the aged die.

Breaking the schools, courts and the NHS.

                What cost of living crisis? They loudly profess!

                While one hundred and fifty new billionaires process their latest perk

Multimillion pound bonuses and eye-watering salaries –

                The poor luvvies need it all to pay those high school fees.

Well today is Election Day. We’ll see if the people have been fooled again. Democracy is in the hands of the stupid, gullible and tribal.

For fourteen years the Tories have been robbing the poor and cutting public services so they could give to the rich. We’ve gone from 29 billionaires to 177 billionaires while the poor cower in the cold, not able to afford the energy and relying on food banks to stay alive.

Corporation taxes are down and oil companies are pocketing billions.

Our rivers are full of sewage while billions are siphoned off to foreign investors. Tory donors, like Lady Mone and Hancock’s landlord, pocket millions for useless PPE that has to be dumped. The VIP lanes farmed out contracts to Tories and bypassed the companies who could do the job.

Brexit is a disaster. They lied!!

Nobody is accountable.

Cameron, May and Johnson are busy earning millions while Britain is broken!

Thirteen years of rule from a bunch of extreme right-wing xenophobes has thoroughly broken Britain. They’ve ruined our public services, lowered wages, put up taxes, raised mortgages, put up prices, created a cost of living crisis, produced a disastrous Brexit, and brought Britain to its knees.

But you know, through every one of these catastrophes they have made themselves millions!!

Cameron, May, Johnson, Osborne, Hancock and the rest have walked away with millions! They’ve robbed us dry!!

Sleaze

‘I’ll take £45 million if you please’.

Hello, hello, it’s the return of sleaze!

For the wealthy it’s all good will

Snouts in the trough of Green Swill.

Public servants and the poor can go to hell.

For politicians revolving doors are working well.

Millions for cronies and profiteers

For everyone else it’s a vale of tears.

‘We’re all in it together!’ Was the call,

But the unequal rewards says it all.

Cuts for the teachers and nurses

For chums they open the public purses.

Lining their pockets to stuff offshore,

The mantra of ministers is more! More! More!

Pretending to be all hale and hearty

The jolly Tories are the nasty party!

With Cameron putting pressure on his chums in office to prop up Greensill so that he could make his £45 Million we are getting a mere glimpse of the way things work. The politicians and civil servants have a revolving door out of office into lucrative contracts.

A piece of scum, like George Osborne, runs the exchequer and then, straight away, gets a job with firms telling them how to use tax loopholes to avoid paying taxes. He makes hundreds of thousands and they avoid paying millions in taxes – effectively robbing the British people.

He directly uses his inside knowledge for personal gain to rob us all!

It’s treasonous!

The politicians and civil servants use their positions to gain contacts in order to feather their own nest later. Running the country is just a stepping stone to huge personal gain.

44 members of Cameron’s cabinet have moved on to lucrative jobs in the very fields they were responsible for.

Since imposing pay cuts for the poor and civil servants, under the lying mantra that ‘We’re all in it together’. People such as Cameron and Osborne have gone to make a fortune – earning millions a year.

Is it really working? To have lunch with people and use your position to put pressure on so you can walk away with £45 million?? Is that what these people call work?

‘All in it together?’ Try telling that to the nurses, teachers and those on welfare who have suffered the cuts for over a decade and are living on scraps.

No wonder they don’t sort out the tax loopholes – they are all using them to stuff their loot abroad.

The whole system is corrupt.

Sleaze, cronyism and criminality is rife!!

Dealing in the Gravy Train

I’m outside the window

Looking in

With a handful of jokers

And a mind full of Zen

The train keeps a-rolling

No-one is getting off

Unseen, changing landscapes

Pass snouts in the trough

But outside the game

I find I’m really on the train.

That’s the trouble – we’re all still in the game whether we want to play or not. There’s no escaping it. The tendrils are global. Even the depths of the jungles in Brazil, Africa and Vietnam are all buzzing to the sound of saws.

Every tree is a potential profit; every scrap of land a plantation; every animal a piece of meat.

The name of the game is profit and the expansion of markets.

The planet has never looked more finite.
