Leaf patterns are fractal in formation… Like most of the natural world. And trees are life forms that if their movements were a great deal speeded up, the would look more like animals moving around. While they do not have brains, they do have a hormonal transfer system that looks remarkably like a nervous system… Their intelligence (and they do have some) comes from chemical transfers rather than electrical ones. They are the ancients of the living world.
