    What is evident is they didn’t buy into the passive-aggressive manifesto of the White Helmets brigade intent on swamping Europe and really upsetting the status quo.

      1. Yes, but in real terms we’ve so far been relatively unaffected from all this and only because we’re an island. We might have a different opinion were we sitting in Germany etc.

    They would have concern about the White Helmets.
    You claimed on the other thread that they were very much against such immigration.

    1. I am very much against immigration but not immigrants. I think there have been too many in too short a time. I am very concerned about the concentration of immigrants in certain areas. I want to see integration and would take a number of measures to achieve that. I do not like the religious nonsense they bring with them – Catholic, Protestant and Muslim. I want a secular country without all of that. I’ve banged on about it.
      I think immigration is needed. Agriculture, NHS, Care homes, Dentistry, and in so many ways immigrants have kept us afloat. They do a good job and contribute.
      I find it very sad that hate crime is up 50% in the last two days and there is graffiti and attacks on Mosques. Language like ‘Polish vermin go home’. That’s disgusting. The police need to arrest these bastards.

      1. I wholly agree.
        I know we need immigration. But we don’t need wasters and too many have arrived.
        The upshot in the long term will be the ability to control that.
        Had we had a Euro-wide points system in the first place, we’d have perhaps had nothing like the issues of today. We’d have had the right numbers of people to suit the needs.
        It wasn’t a particularly well considered programme to begin with.

        It does look like the Police are going to be busy boys for a while.

      2. But don’t you think that we could have sorted that from inside without too much trouble? We already changed the benefits. We could have stopped people coming without jobs. We could have tightened the expulsion procedures. It was a better solution, wasn’t it?
        Why break the country when it doesn’t even solve the problem?

    1. Let’s hope it’s a good result. I certainly need something to lift my spirits. I’ve got such a bad feeling about where this is heading.

      1. No Andrew, you don’t need your coat – stay. I can’t seem to answer Opher on this, the same reply box keeps coming up – makes sense?

        Opher I made those comments, because the response to my blog I just felt that is how you came over – simple football Opher, enjoyed it or not it was football not Politics not the EU. Why could you not have had a break had a pint or glass of wine and enjoyed (wrong word of course) the football and forget the EU and the Vote for what 90 minutes. Stupid because you could not switch off your mind to watch the game and boring because you had to bring the politics up again.

        If England had as good as a defensive nature that you possess….

        Can’t remember what I said on your blog. But at this moment in time there is only one of us making personal abuse.
