I saw Elvis perform in York with the Attractions. They were so powerful! It was great to be at the front. The whole crowd was rockin’.
The thing about Elvis that I admire most is his wordmanship. He writes poetic lyrics about real situations. A great songwriter.
So today I will be playing my favourite Elvis Costello songs and I’ll pump it up real loud!
Every day I choose a band or artist to play all day – very loud. It helps keep my mental state lively and upbeat! Music is good for the soul!
It also reacquaints me with music that often languishes in my collection.
Today’s choice is the wonderful Elvis Costello!! He’s a genius. I remember him crashing on to the scene in that Punk rebirth. What struck me was his clever use of words. I love great lyrics!
