Opher’s Art

I had a phase of painting and enjoyed it greatly. Here are a few!!

Opher’s Art

When I was a young man, in one of my obsessive creative phases, I did a lot of paintings. These are they:

Opher’s Art – Lucy – A psychedelic woman from the beginning of our evolution.

AppleMark

I was always intrigued by the thought that we all came from a single set of mutations within a tribe of sub-humans on the plains of Africa.

As we migrated from the tropics to the temperature we had a beneficial mutation to produce pale skin so that we could produce Vitamin D.

Lucy was the mother that gave rise to the whole human race.

She’s to blame!

Opher’s Art – The psychedelic nose!

IMG_6528

I told my grandson Nathan that my nose is the most intelligent part of my body. My nose knows. It always leads the way and I have no option but to follow.

For some reason he was skeptical. He doesn’t always believe me.

My own nose is perfectly in proportion to my body if I happened to have a body that was twice as big. I just needed to live in Rome a couple of thousand years ago and I would have been considered an aristocrat.

This study of a nose in orange is straight out of 1973.

I put all my paintings and ramblings together in my Art and Outpourings book. Available on Amazon.

Opher’s Art – A worried Psychedelic Face – Quite disturbing.

This was another of my 1973 masterpieces. There was a guy down our road who looked just like this! I merely painted him true to his appearance.

Opher’s Book Recommendations – Art

I thought I’d better start doing a bit of marketing to encourage people to purchase my books. It seems a good idea to have readers for my words.

This is my book on the Art with a bit of outpourings on philosophy and the world.

Opher’s Art – The Psychedelic Eye – It sees everything!

AppleMark

I liked this one. I thought of it as a psychedelic eye!

My grandson Nathan’s favourite book (for a day) was a couple of small pieces of paper I folded together and stapled. I drew an eye on one side and wrote ‘I am an eye’ on the other.

He thought that was hilarious. He went round saying ‘I am an eye’ and bursting into laughter.

Opher’s Art -The City Gent – the invisible man.

IMG_0520

Back in the sixties there was a uniform in the city. You wore a suit, bowler hat and carried an umbrella. It seemed to make everyone interchangeable and take their personality away.

I liked a slightly more colourful attire, a slightly different perspective and a different way of life.

They looked like lifeless automatons to me. (I’m sure they were real people really!)
