There’s a catalyst for division
And he’s coming after us.
He’s spreading hate and racism
To throw us off the bus.
He’s gathering his army
They’re taking to the street.
Toting their assault rifles
Jackbooting their feet.
He’s a catalyst for hatred
Enjoying when people cower,
Wallowing in his wealth,
Loving all the power.
He’s spreading all his fake news –
A propaganda machine.
Spreading lies and put-downs,
Talking sly and mean.
He’s a catalyst for confusion,
Making people fear.
Spreading doubt like manure
So that nothing is quite clear.
He’s empowering the racists
And stirring the pot.
He wants to get elected
Giving it all he’s got.
He’s a catalyst for violence,
Orchestrating his thugs.
Treating the people
Like a bunch of mugs.
He’s building walls in minds
As well as on the ground.

We’re in a new game. The old division of left and right no longer applies. This game is about lies and truth.
We’re fed on lies and we don’t care anymore.
We don’t know who to believe. They’re all the same.
Except they are not.
Some are much worse than others.
So propaganda machines churn out lies, fake news and propaganda. Using algorithms they direct it straight to their chosen recipients.
We are manipulated and exploited.
They intend to confuse us and split the opposition into fighting factions.
It works, doesn’t it?
They own the media. They lie and get away with it. We don’t seem to care at all.
There is no morality, no honour.
The Republican Party’s lurch to Fascism
The Donald Trump populist movement seized on extreme nationalism as it’s core creating the MAGA movement (Make America Great Again). In many ways it paralleled Hitler’s rise to power. Hitler used the Jews as scapegoats while Trump used immigrants and Muslims. Hitler used his Brown Shirt bully boys to intimidate and cause fear. Trump is deploying his MAGA mob. Hitler rose to power with a minority but caused such fear that people were afraid to speak out – just like what is happening in the USA today.
I think the party has to make a painful decision. Does it continue down the path of the Trump cult – a path of extremism, fascism and racist white supremacy or does it pull back and base its values on those espoused by Abraham Lincoln – honesty, decency and conservative values.

Personally I think the Republican values stink in any form but the lurch to the extreme right and undermining of the whole democratic process is utterly repugnant. It’s a new all-time low.
If they continue down the Trump route I reckon they will trigger a civil war.

There is something horrible going on in America. One man’s liberty is another man’s bully.
Fairness and equality seem to have become equated with weakness, UnAmerican socialism, and socialism is equated with communism and communism equates with the tyranny of totalitarianism as seen in Cambodia, China and Russia.
So America you allow the strong to take it all and exploit everyone. Some live in obscene luxury while others sleep under bridges.
America you are the richest country in the world yet you have such extreme poverty and deprivation.
You despise paying taxes so your schools and health care is rubbish, your infrastructure is crumbling and you breed billionaires.
I think you’ve gone mad.
