I’m starting up a new religion. It is called Opherism. All people who follow it are Ophs.
It is simple.
a. You do not have to believe in any god but you can if you want (whatever you like).
b. Love each other
c. Help each other when you can
d. Do not do anything unpleasant to anyone or any living creature (trees included)
e. Look after the planet
f. Look after all living things
g. Make yourself and everyone else happy whenever you can
h. Be creative – dance, sing, paint, write, make music, build things, do drama – whatever!
I. Do not indoctrinate your children
j. Reject hatred, violence and negative thought – war, murder and intolerance are evil.
k. Stand up and argue for what you believe is right
l. Listen
M. Question everyone and everything – especially political, religious, business and charismatic leaders – (including anything I’ve ever said), and weigh it up – if it conflicts with any of the above then don’t take any notice, don’t do it and tell people why.
All living things are equally important. We have one beautiful planet. We need to keep it sustained for all things to share. The universe is awesome and beautiful we should appreciate it.
That will do for now. We’ll see if that makes the world better!

Oh Oh – I nearly forgot – Do not go forth and multiply! There are far too many of us. Keep your families small and use contraception – lots of it – lots of the time!
