There have been at least two catastrophic incidents in the Earth’s history where up to 97% of all species were wiped out. The others were caused by comet strikes or massive volcanic activity. We are the third. More species are dying now due to our actions than has happened at any time in the world’s history outside of major cataclysmic events. It needs addressing!
