Killing people

                What gives you the right?

Tools

                Of the regime.

                                Willing goons.

                                                Vicious thugs.

Desensitised.

                Bullets and pliers,

                                Electricity

                                                And hate.

Killing for profit.

Killing for fun.

Killing to order.

Killing’s never done.

Massacre

                And torture

Threats

                And fear.

Every despot needs an army.

Without thugs

                They are helpless,

                                Useless,

                                                Pathetic.

Just empty words.

You, who serve,

                With boot and gun;

Who legitimise

                The tyrant

Against your own people,

                Are the true traitorous scum.

You turn

                Empty words

                                Into blood and death.

I watch the vicious crack-down on the people of Iran – the rape and torture. It’s the same the world over – from Pinochet in Chile to Botha in South Africa – The East German Stasi and Nazi – Khomeini just another tyrant! But all these tyrants have one thing in common – they employ thugs to do their dirty work! Without the torturing, massacring thugs they would have no power.

And what of these mindless goons who carry out the orders of these powerful men? What motivates them? Money? Power? Pleasure?

They put aside their morality and take up arms against the very people they are part of. Do they feel superior? Do they feel justified?

Have they merely been desensitised?

Fela Kuti called them Zombies!

They are worse than that! There are no words to describe the level these torturers and murderers have stooped to!

This spells an an extreme Authoritarian extreme Right Wing take-over of the country.

Really scary.

The want to control all government – federal and state – to oust all liberals and replace them with MAGA.

Department of Justice to be placed under Presidential control.

Control education – remove all sex ed and gender ed.

Remove all Woke ideology.

They want to allow misinformation, hate and conspiracy by taking all brakes off free speech.

They want to take away all women’s rights – clamping down on abortion and contraception.

They want to stop all renewable energy and green research and projects and return to gas, oil and dirty fuels.

Dismantle the FBI, build the wall and deport millions.

They are looking for complete control with no brakes or limiters. It’s a Tyrant’s wet dream. Trump’d love it!

                We cut our hair

                                Throw off our chains.

They beat us.

                They kill us

                                But the will remains!

Incredible bravery

                In the face of death!!

We oppose injustice

                With every breath!!

A regime of terror

                In the name of God.

Enforced with violence –

Gun, gas and rod.

                For a better life!

The cry for Regime change

The brave women of Iran are standing up against the authoritarian, misogynistic, regime based on terror and repression.

The zealots of extremism are not content to have their own views of religion; they have to impose it on others!!

This misogynistic philosophy comes screaming out of the bowels of the Dark Ages, from tribal nomadic Arabs intent on suppressing women.

These tyrants wish to shackle half the world’s population in sackcloth and masks.

It’s time everybody rose up and demands equality!!

Strutting in uniforms

With body armour and masks.

What makes a goon?

Behind their shields

With their guns and batons.

What makes a goon?

Following orders

Mindlessly dispensing violence.

What makes a goon?

Arm of the State

Merchants of terror.

What makes a goon?

Beating heads

Stiffling protest.

What makes a goon?

Teargas and bullets

Terror and power

What makes a goon?

Mindless zombies

Faceless thugs.

Expressionless

Emotionless.

Instruments of tyranny

Never questioning.

Unquestioning

Vehicles of oppression.

What makes anybody want to give up their individuality, their ability to reason, and become an enemy of the people?

These faceless men in uniform are merely obeying orders. They do as they are instructed, without question.

Perhaps they should start to question a lot more?

But their training in one long session of brain-washing – follow instructions, obey, do not think. You are a machine. You are a goon – a vehicle of the state.

You cannot question authority. They are always right.

Thus dictator after dictator, tyrant after tyrant, is propped up by mindless goons.

I Make War!!

I fire bullets.

                I fire rockets.

                                I drop bombs.

                                                Lives in my pockets.

I plan wars.

                I give orders.

                                I send troops

                                                Across borders.

I kill children.

                I rape girls.

                                I destroy.

                                                The game unfurls.

I’m the leader,

                I make rules,

                                Setting targets

                                                For the fools.

I make love.

                I make law.

                                Power and greed.

Without the goons there would be no war. The tyrants make the rules and direct the troops. The mindless zombies carry out the wishes. They shoot, they rape and kill. The despots treat us like fools.

I wrote this two years ago.

The Time Comes

Dictators fall.

Even tyranny has its limits.

Like a pressure cooker

With the heat turned up –

Something gives.

Oppression creates fear

But fear can rapidly change to fury

When a certain point

Is reached.

People crowd the streets

Encased in teargas clouds,

Facing down

The faceless goons.

Shields are thumped.

Adrenaline flows.

Rubber bullets fly.

Trained robots charge.

Batons thud on heads.

But if the people are united,

Determined and resolute

The regime falls.

No dictatorship lasts forever. Sooner or later they have to answer for the atrocities they have committed.

Thankfully we have the United Nations and international courts.

The tyrants and dictators, the torturers and warlords, can be brought to justice.

They are answerable for their crimes.

Just following orders

In their crisp uniforms.

For a career and a paycheque

They’d sell their vey souls.

Without mindless goons

Doing what they’re told,

Obeying all commands,

Carrying out their roles.

No tyrant can hold power,

No despot gain control,

No fascist power

Can ever reach its goal.

Just following orders.

Everywhere I look around the world I see evil people and draconian laws being propped up by a bunch of faceless riot soldiers in helmets and body armour, clutching guns and batons, firing tear gas and water cannon, firing bullets, beating people senseless.

Everywhere I look they are dragging off bloodied protestors into trucks, into jails, into torture chambers and graves.

They put on their uniforms and lose their minds.

Fela Kuti called them zombies.

They are worse than that – I think they enjoy the power, the freedom to be brutal.

Every dictator is dependent on their armies of goons – just following orders.
