I thought I’d share a few of our recent walks. This one was at Burton Agnes – a great place to visit.
As it’s autumn the gardens are not in flower but there were still a number of things that caught my eye!
It was a bright sunny day and warm!!
Come Close
Come sit by my side,
Let us watch the sun slide into the sea.
As the sky puts on a show, cuddle in close
And be lost in its grand majesty.
Bathed in its glow,
As the colours all flow from gold
To crimson and blues,
And they breathe us in
To the connecting warmth of their hues.
As the heavens perform
With connections so warm to the stars
And beyond.
For the great dynamo
Of that heavenly show plays on the clouds
And into our bond;
And connects us through time
To the great pantomime our ancestors
Performed in their days;
The vibration of time
Never fail to be amazed.
So cuddle up close,
Ever so close, until we are one.
And we’ll play out our game
Until the game’s done.

The sun sets like it has done for billions of years – a great performance in the sky that sweeps us into wonder and connects us to the heavens, time and our ancestors.
How many other lovers have sat cuddled together and were bathed in its mystic glow?
Beauty
Beauty in a face,
A sunset and a tree.
Beauty is a state
Decided by you and me.
A scene that moves to awe,
A sunset over sea,
A flower or a baby,
Water lapping lazily.
On some we agree.
On others are unsure.
For beauty is the degree
We create aesthetics for.

Nature is the basis of what I see of as awe and beauty. To watch wild creatures fills me with excitement. That never dims.
Trees, rocks, mountains, sunsets and rainbows. So many things are breath-taking.
Then there is the beauty of art, music, dance, drama and architecture. I adore the things we have created. It is the best of us.
People can also be beautiful.
When you see real beauty it fills you with wonder.
But when you come to analyse what is beautiful and what is not things become blurred. We have different views.
What makes something beautiful?
Sunsets and Rainbows
Sunsets and rainbows
Are poems in the sky.
Forests and Oceans
The tales of where and why.
There are stories in the rocks
And paintings in the clouds,
Dancing in the flower meadows
Music from the crowds.
The symphonies they produce
Paint murals in the skull
The operas of the universe
Never considered dull.

Life is wondrous and nature is so amazing. Its beauty and immensity is more splendiferous than any works of man. All we can do is marvel at it.
