Poetry – Leaf and Claw

Leaf and Claw

Leaf and claw,

Beak and petal,

Gambolling out of hibernation.

Fur and feather,

Flower and tendril,

Let loose across the nation.

Back from the dead,

Almost deceased,

The force of nature

Once more released.

But sadly, as we’re set free

All across town,

Nature is again forced back

Into its own lockdown.
