Jerusalem – The Church of All Nations – Photos

I love art and religion sure bought in some experts to produce some great works. I found them all quite wondrous to look at. They are built to impress and Jerusalem is not short of impressive religious works of art. We have 3 religions all trying to outdo each other – to show that they are the real ones and the other two are rubbish. The result, for an atheist such as me, is spectacular.

The Church of All Nations – built in Gethsemane was very impressive.

    1. Yes I know I am very fortunate. That cruise we took back from Australia was amazing and so very cheap too. It cost very little more than staying at home. My parents would have been amazed at how the world has now opened up for us. Have you not considered doing a cruise Anna? I can recommend a very cheap company that goes to some interesting places.

      1. I’ve always thought the interior artwork to be quite hideous, almost comically Disney and plastic looking.
But I guess artistic taste comes down to….taste.
Damned shame that such vast sums of money are wasted on such useless vanity.
This can only magnify the corruption of corporate religion and such mass appeal is so distressing. The public at large are all too easily impressed and religious organisations know this all too well. They operate a “we just can’t lose” system.

      2. I know what you mean. It was very garish. But I found it very impressive. That is, of course what they intended. In the battles between religions no expense is spared trying to impress the faithful and prove their god is the best.
