Brexit – A huge shift in Public Attitudes – Big majority in favour of staying in! LET’S HAVE A SECOND REFERENDUM!!!!

If Brexiteers are so confident that they are right why not put it to the test? If Democracy rules then let’s have a vote! Democracy does not stop with one vote. Circumstances have changed. Now we can see what is involved people have woken up. Public opinion has shifted. There is a clear staggering 10% majority for staying in the EU!!

WE NEED A SECOND REFERENDUM!!!

WE NEED DEMOCRACY!!!

It is not too late to save the fate of Britain. Even at this late stage there is hope. We do not have to allow the Extreme Right to ram Brexit down our throats. People are waking up to the reality of the Right-Wing nightmare.

  • The dramatic fall in sterling has increased inflation by 3%
  • Economic Growth is appalling. We are now third from bottom in the world.
  • Already our NHS has the worst staff shortage ever
  • There is similar staffing shortages in education, care homes, catering, construction and agriculture
  • Theresa May has bought some respite for her position first by bribing the DUP with a billion pound bonanza and then by bribing Europe with a staggering £50 billion.
  • Banking and business has already started relocating abroad in droves. It will leave the country a great deal poorer.
  • Hate crime has risen dramatically
  • Austerity will last forever

All this was completely predictable. But the worst is yet to come. If we actually go all this will get far worse.

But democracy is not yet dead.

There has been, according to the latest Independent Poll, a dramatic shift in attitude. Millions are realising that they made a big mistake:

A new survey for The Independent showed that 51% of those questioned now back remaining in the EU, while 41% back Brexit.

If that poll is anywhere near correct it would give Remain a 10% lead.

With changes of that magnitude, now that the reality of leaving is becoming clearer by the minute, we should have another Referendum.

Democracy should rule.

It is quite clear that the referendum campaign was run on ignorance and lies. It was a terrible campaign run on division and hate. Now we have the facts we should be able to have another say!!

WE NEED A SECOND VOTE!!!!!

Here’s a Guardian article on the subject – After this week, I refuse to believe that Brexit is unstoppable

  1. Makes sense. I see Nigel Farage – not someone I listen to much – wanted to rerun the referendum when he thought Leave would lose … he’d obviously approve the move!

  2. For me, as soon it was labeled, branded as “brexit”, it was a signpost that the same old powers the be were making a cock up out of the idea of decentralization. Much like here when the “occupy movement” became a tool of wealthy elite.
That said, I’m somewhat baffled at how this stuff successfully becomes marketed…in essence, “anarchism”, “libertarianism”, “decentralization” are, at the core, left wing ideas.
A lot of left wing thinkers, even in recent history (like Karl Hess and L.K. Samuels), are in favor of a decentralized, “smaller is better” approach especially regarding, social, cultural, economic AND environmentalism.
If anything, I would be in favor of more than just breaking away from the sham of Brussels. Produce, consume and make the rules on a local level.

    1. Jack – while I am in favour of a lot of activity going on at the local level I would want an outward looking society connecting with other people and opening up cultural exchange and a control over what the rich and multinationals are doing on a global scale. If we withdraw from a universal stage we effectively leave them to it and they are making a mess of it.

  3. 1: “a control over what the rich and multinationals are doing on a global scale”
That will require a tipping point in which, a mass of people decide to stop paying them…handing them administrative power. This, by the way, is the primary reason I’m not against private gun ownership.
2; “I would want an outward looking society connecting with other people and opening up cultural exchange”
There is absolutely no reason that this couldn’t exist, and I will surmise, even more likely to exist within decentralization.
3; “If we withdraw from a universal stage we effectively leave them to it and they are making a mess of it.”
Yes, it may not be time to make the move. However, I think such a movement will happen much more organically and outside the bounds of mass media hype and Glo0balist sanctioned elections or the ruse of “democracy”.

    1. Jack – I’m not sure a mass of people will withdraw from paying these people. They are all tied in and psychologically primed. I don’t think that is going to happen. I don’t see what gun ownership has to do with it.
It is true that we can have that outward global view but not with the psychological restrictions of nationalism I would have thought.
A grassroots movement is essential, outside of the tendrils of the establishment and the chimera of democracy, but we still need that global regulation to stop them exploiting and trashing.

      1. Fair enough. I see this: “They” are in control of Global regulation to their advantage. If one looks in to it, the history of this has an ominous continuity not shying away from eugenics..
Gun control is not a major issue for me…it’s not different from prohibition which, historically hasn’t worked.
I am aware and, become aware of many more people, daily, that are reacting to the psychological conditioning.

      2. Jack – they certainly are in control. That is what worries me. They are rampant. There is no regulation. Nobody can enforce laws across borders. If we opt out of global regulation then we are giving them carte blanche to evade taxes, destroy the environment and exploit people. They have all the power.
Prohibition hasn’t worked but guns are a menace. I wouldn’t want to live in America. It is frankly too dangerous.
