The media cacophony roars! It’s all very negative – but what did we expect??
The Tories were corrupt and devious!
They destroyed the NHS, Schools and Councils by incessant cuts!!
They ran down everybody’s pay while giving tax breaks to the wealthy!
There were a series of major strikes crippling the NHS, rail and schools.
Pay had declined, inflation roared and the cost of living went through the roof.
They knew they were going to lose and so promised the earth and lied.
Whoever got in was inheriting a poisoned chalice! Inflation, collapsing public services, stagnant economy, gross inequality, mass strikes, pay stagnant and a cost of living crisis. Do people really believe that can be addressed in weeks? Britain was broken.
Labour inherited a black hole!
They had to raise taxes in order to start fixing the problem!
They came in an ended the strikes!
They fixed inflation!
They poured money into Schools, the NHS and councils to repair some of the damage done by the Tories.
They addressed the cost of living crisis.
They raised pay for workers.
The wealthy pensioners do not need the £300 and the poorer ones were protected. The keeping of the triple lock alone more than covered the £300. The hysteria was media generated!
The strikers had been suffering wage restraint for years under the Tories. They had justified claims. Their wages needed to be addressed. Tories hate the public sector and resent money that they think should go to the rich being wasted on schools and hospitals, potholes and youth services! Those workers deserved pay rises.
The WASPI women were the product of a botched Tory policy. Some of them have a case – others don’t. Given the terrible state of the country created by 14 years of Tory misrule tough decisions have to be made. The country can’t afford it.
Labour inherited a huge black hole and immense problems. They’ll need years to put it right! I’m not happy that certain groups are suffering but the whole country has been suffering under Tory cuts and austerity. I think that the markets are withholding investment to ensure Labour fail and I think the Tory media are drumming up discontent!
I just hope that people aren’t gullible enough to fall for it!!
I’m generally happy with what they are doing!
