We were driving through this small village near the Colca Canyon when we can upon this little festival. It was obviously some kind of Folk Dance.
It seems that Peruvians need no great encouragement to dress up and perform.
No knowing anything about it I was intrigued. There were two groups of women in two different costumes. The hats and ribbons around the face. I don’t know what it was all about. It was quite like our Folk Dancing though. One of the dances was using this rope that they held between.
I’d love to know what it was all about. Fabulous costumes.
