I took a photo from the top of the World Trade Center, in May 1989. It was by far the best of the photo-ops there, because it was open; you were outside on the roof, with only a 4-foot high railing between you and the drop. Still have the print, not sure whether I’ll ever be able to find the negative!
That was my only visit to New York City. Can’t say I was much impressed.
Hi Neil – glad you are safe! That sounds amazing – a rarity now!
I enjoyed New York. I’ve been a few times. The first time in 1971 had a real edgy feel to it – there was a lot of crime. In 2010 it felt very much tamed.
Opher, if you want a great at-90-degrees photo, go to Cabo Girao in Madeira. 580 metres almost straight down to the sea! That one, I do have on disk. I’ll put it on my little blog, together with a funny COVID one I took today.
Look forward to that Neil!!
here it is…
