I live – a poem

I live

I live upon a speck of dust

Sprinkled in the heavens

Hurtling and spinning

Spiralling

Towards nowhere.

  1. Hey Opher – ‘Towards nowhere.’ Hmm, is that towards nowhere for you, or, towards nowhere for planet Earth? If the latter, the likelihood is that remnants of Earth will be sucked into a black dwarf that is our collapsed Sun. Beyond that, who knows?

Enjoy the Sun whilst it lasts 😉

    1. All of that Dewin. I reckon we give life its meaning and the vibration of the universe is everywhere and nowhere. It’s the journey that’s important.

      1. Hey Opher – As old Bill Shakespeare once wrote: ‘All the world’s a stage, and all the men and women merely players: they have their exits and their entrances; and one man in his time plays many parts, his acts being seven ages.’

You wrote: ‘It’s the journey that’s important.’ – Agreed 🙂 If not also the manner in which we take part and the quality of our sharing.

How’s the new book? Any progress?

        Have a pleasant evening.

        Love and Peace,

      2. Quality it is at very least – Roy Harper

the rewrite of Neanderthal is finished. I’m sitting on it for a bit to gain a bit more objectivity. I think I addressed most of the issues you brought up.
Fancy having a read? You’d spot what needs doing?

        I’m rewriting Quantum Fever now!

      3. Hey Opher – Your old pal Harper could spin a line or two.

Ah, so the first rewrite is complete, excellent. No problem, I’ll re-read Neanderthal and get back to you before close of play next weekend. Is that okay? It’d be sooner but I’ve a busy week and a couple of days away.

Talking of objectivity, I had an old Art lecturer who once suggested placing a painting when loosely finished in the corner of the room and viewing it at a glimpse out of the corner of one’s eye. He considered this his working method for gaining objectivity. Not so easy to do with a book, but the idea is, I think, sound.

Good luck with rewriting QF…perhaps it’ll aide objectivity with Neanderthal 🙂

        Cheers,

        DN
