A third of British firms are planning to move abroad.
Here’s what the Independent said:
Brexit: Jacob Rees-Mogg defends Ireland move by City firm he co-founded ahead of EU withdrawal
Prominent Brexiteer Jacob Rees-Mogg has defended the move by a City firm that he helped to found to establish an investment fund in Ireland ahead of the UK leaving the European Union.
The Conservative MP faced questions when it emerged that Somerset Capital Management (SCM) had launched a new investment vehicle in Dublin amid concerns about being cut off from European investors.
The irony is that it is going to hit the people in the areas that voted for Brexit. Part of me thinks they deserve it. The people like Rees-Mogg are moving their assets abroad. They are going to make a killing out of it. It’s the working people who will suffer – as usual.
Well – they voted for it. Let them eat bread and water on the dole and relive the Blitz spirit. The shame is that the rest of us are going to have to suffer too!
