The great Douglas Adams was the master at creating Sci-fi humour. He died much too early. Such a great shame.

He attacked everything in life with a mix of extraordinary genius and naïve incompetence, and it was often difficult to tell which was which.

That sums up a lot of human activity.

Ah, this is obviously some strange usage of the word ‘safe’ that I wasn’t previously aware of.

How often have we found that?

The major difference between a thing that might go wrong and a thing that cannot possibly go wrong is that when a thing that cannot possibly go wrong goes wrong it usually turns out to be impossible to get at or repair.

Everything can go wrong. That’s a law.
