It’s quite strange going to a Blues Festival where there are hardly any black guys. Nearly all the great Blues guys have gone. We’ve only got a few left – Buddy guy and Billy Boy Arnold come to mind – but they weren’t there.
Even the great British Blues guys – like Peter Green, Duster Bennett, Mick Taylor are all either gone or retired.
Never mind – we had a great show.
Gary Grainger came in at the last minute and did some great acoustic blues. Nice guitar and voice and a range of styles. I enjoyed it.
Mick Taylor still records, plays in Europe a lot.
Yes I saw with with Mayall a few years back. He was still good. Doesn’t do a lot in England anymore.
