Did Nigel Farage, with his gloating goading of the EU, firmly slam the door on any possibility of a decent deal with Europe? He antagonised and infuriated. Is this the way we want Britain to be represented – Bombastic, arrogance?
He made me feel ashamed.
A mixed comment between this post and your post on respecting leavers. I can respect some leavers. I cannot respect the arrogant racists and faragites.
I don’t think there is any discrepancy. I said I respect all leavers who thought through their reasons. I don’t respect leaders who lied, were disingenuous or are not being thoroughly obnoxious. I don’t respect people who are rude, gloating or indulging in racism, violence or abuse.
Don’t think Nigel has much say in any such matter.
Didn’t you hear him haranguing the EU in the most unpleasant manner? I cannot see the point of deliberately baiting people we are going to be having to negotiate with. Apart from the rudeness and arrogance it was unintelligent.
C’mon. What’s he in charge of?
He’s a minor note in a major symphony.
If they ask him he’ll speak. If they don’t, he won’t.
No brainer.
I think he antagonised a lot of people who we hope will be working with us. Good negotiating tactics? What an obnoxious pillock!
Nigel needs to keep his mouth shut, but the stupid childish laughing and jeering on the EU side are just as pathetic and I am glad we are out, firmly OUT.
If someone had spoken to me in that manner I would have responded with a great deal more anger. He was loathsome. I’m surprised you defend actions that are so rude and crass.
