More Russell Brand Revolution – $30 Trillion bail out – The Recession and Capitalism – Bollocks.

Mothers

The Mothers – We’re Only In It For The Money – album cover shoot.

When the banking crisis hit sending the western world spinning into recession the bail out of the Wall Street banks was $30 trillion. A trillion is 1000 billion – that looks like this – $1,000,000,000. It is very easy to say but impossible to actually quantify.

The people who caused the problem were the bankers who, in order to get their huge bonuses, took riskier and riskier gambling with billions of our money.

Not one of them went to jail despite the devastation they caused. They bankrupted firms, made millions unemployed, made millions have worse pensions, pay and work conditions, created homelessness and suicide. Yet they went unpunished.

Not only that but they were and still are being rewarded with massive multimillion dollar bonuses.

That is obscene. Those idiots needed locking up for life not rewarded with more yachts and pent-house suites.

Recently a further trillion dollars was handed out for Quantitive Easing (our money). To put that in perspective. That trillion dollars alone was sufficient to have given every unemployed person in America a $50,000 job.

Jeremy Corbyn has been lambasted by the press and establishment for daring to suggest that the money put into QE could be used for jobs and infrastructure. But they would wouldn’t they?

Most of this money is going into the pockets of the super-rich establishment who own the media and run politics. They are the 0.01% who are gaining from this stupid system.

I stand for equality and fairness. This is the epitome of unfairness and injustice. The rich are getting hugely richer – the poor are picking up the bill.

I think Russell is right. We need a revolution.

  1. A good indicator on the massive scale of corruption would be when they announced trillions of loss the day before 7/11. That was the end of that news story.

      1. That’s unknown. But what is known is that both towers and WT7 were re-insured just 3 weeks before.

      2. The Krays being utter nonentities wouldn’t have got to shine these people’s toilet seat.
Do you know the story of when the Krays (in their infinite dumb wisdom) made approaches to the NYC Maffia? The boys came over to have a look at their “operation” and left with the profound impression that a couple of rent boys and a scruffy boxing gym wasn’t quite the league they were accustomed to.
Glasgow gangsters used to mock the Krays and funnily enough never got any agro for such.

  2. Andrew, who was the famous Glasgow gangster some years ago, they made a film about him. For me the only crime programme I liked was “Taggert” only with the late Jim Mcmanus (or was it Macmanus)

    1. Jimmy Boyle. Upon release he hooked up with a wealthy female admirer and entered the Art world. He’s also an author.
But there have been far worse examples than Boyle. He just happened to be able to string a sentence together and be able to hold a biro without killing someone with it.

      1. Why do we make heroes out of despicable thugs and killers? Billy the Kid was a snivelling back-shooter. Capone, Bonnie and Clyde, Dillinger, Ned Kelly. All obnoxious, brutal thugs.

      2. You tell me? Apparently Ian Brady gets fan mail from women.
What goes on with some people is unfathomable.

  3. It sort of has to happen, don’t you think? A revolution of the people.

    1. I think there is always a balance. The establishment recognise it. They give us just enough (as little as possible) to keep us on board. They peddle the myth that we can be part of the elite (You can win the lottery, get a good job etc.) that is a lie. It could erupt.
I think that things will evolve. And the reason I think that will happen is that the internet has opened up more knowledge and insight. Nowadays news is instant and circulating by anyone. We know what is going on instantly. People start to see and understand what is really going on and how we are being manipulated.

      1. Which can also increase the amount of downright spin, too.
The trouble is the establishment propagate the financial structure of the legal system which makes it nigh impossible for “normal” people to fight injustice.
