What we stand for
The freedoms we have, the standards we enjoy, have been well fought for with blood, thought and bravery. Nothing is given lightly and the freedoms and standard are rapidly eroded.
We are paid with sops while the top table dine on swallows’ eggs.
The inequality that runs the world is creating poverty, war and disease. It is time we stopped electing psychopaths and began to look at a fairer way of running things.
This inequality breeds fundamental madness.
In order to look into the future it is best to have a firm knowledge of the past.
Britain has achieved much but there is still much worth fighting for. The world is in a mess.
The planet is being trashed. Wild-life is being decimated. There is mass migration due to fascism, fundamentalism, climate change, overpopulation and war.
Who’s shouting?
I can’t hear you?
What we stood for
There is resilience.
There is determination.
There is skill.
There’s a sense of justice.
Tolerance
And ‘trouble at mill’.
Industrial revolution,
The enlightenment,
And Trade Unions too;
Scientific discovery,
Evolutionary theory,
And a benevolence or two.
Individuality
With revolutionary style,
Education for the masses
And going the extra mile.
Fighting for a worker’s rights
With intelligence and guile.
Forcing through new laws
To create fairness in the trial.
So much we owe
To so many in the past.
Still more to do
To make their efforts last.

The fight must never end, too many have tried to keep us down and blood has been spilt fighting for our rights. The workers deserve better, not these greedy people trying to keep them in their place – what is our place building a Country to be proud of, fighting and sacrificing life for this country while others take advantage of all we have to offer – people who complain about this Country whilst they take take take from it, bugger off you are not wanted. This is a proud Country no one owns us we have fought for Freedom and NO ONE will ever take over this Country or it’s people.
Freedom is highly valued.
It should be, it has cost too much, we have to maintain our fredom I know that is easy to say I am not the one actually going to have to face it, but we must treasure our Freedom – they must not win the terrorists.
They won’t. They just mess things up for a while.
I so hope you are right Opher, no one wants to bomb another Country but we have no choice Jeremy cutting his own throat with his defiance, plus pleading for a criminal to be let out of jail for Christmas never mind he and a gang robbed and attacked Pensioners, don’t understand Jeremy he courts trouble.
He’s a law unto himself. I like it. He’s nobody’s man. Nobody’s perfect. He’s certainly different.
Yes Opher I agree but he should have more since asking for a vicious criminal to be free for Christmas, he never mentioned the Pensioners what about their Christmas they may never recover. S.D the thug it is the victims who matter and Jeremy should think about that one.
I haven’t heard about that one.
It was in the Guardian, and they like him.
I don’t think any of the media like him. They’ll all stab him in the back if and when they can. But he does rather give them the ammunition.
I rarely read anything about him in the Guardian, he loads their guns.
