There is something more understated and less garish about Japanese culture when compared with Chinese. I like them both but Japan is more constrained, orderly and controlled.

Both my wife and I enjoyed Kyoto and all of Japan, actually. Nice shots of Kyoto, opher!! We weren’t impressed by Tokyo at all. Gardens of Kyoto have been an inspiration over the years.
