At 8 o-clock last night the nation clapped for the NHS!
Our oldest son (a nurse) is presently down with covid-19 after treating people with the corona virus.
We live in a sleepy village and could not imagine many people actually doing it. The English have this in-built reserve. They get embarrassed easy. They are not very demonstrative.
So we headed to our front door for the moment. We clapped.
Every door was open. Every neighbour was out. All over the village you could hear everyone clapping and shouting.
I had tears in my eyes.
This one was for you NHS!! It shows how important you are to us!! It shows how much we care for you all!! To all those putting their lives at risk to care for us!!!
THANK YOU NHS!!!!!! THANK YOU ALL THOSE BRAVE WORKERS!!! THANK YOU NURSES, DOCTORS, CARERS!!!
