Five weeks in shut down. That’s quite a long time.
we are extremely fortunate. As we are on pensions we do not have to worry about our job and career. Neither do we have to worry about our income. Our lives have not changed as much as other peoples’.
Looking ahead it is difficult to see how it will end for us.
As long as we keep isolated we should be fairly safe, though a virus could sneak in on the mail, the newspaper or the food deliveries. It is a tiny risk.
Unless they find a way of treating our immune systems so that we do not have a severe reaction or else develop a vaccine we could be stuck in doors for years!!
Never mind. I’m sure they’re working on it – there’s big money to be made!
Today was colder and patchy sunshine. I painted windows and wrote my blog.
This afternoon’s walk was all the way to Driffield to draw out some money. It is strange to see it shut up and empty – like there’s some pandemic on the rounds.
Another day done. Five weeks and counting.
Lock-down: this dark night of the soul, how long must we endure it!
DN
I reckon another four months. Until they get a vaccine or some treatment sorted.
