The Narrative of the Elite

They have everything they desire and mean to hang on to it. They possess great wealth, power and lavish possessions. They live in luxurious homes, sail around in yachts, drive the most expensive cars, are waited on by servants and enjoy a lifestyle of privilege. They eat in the best restaurants, drink nothing but the best wine, have their pick of the best partners and always experience the best that money can buy.

There is never any doubt that they deserve all this. It is their right. They are superior.

This is just how they like it.

They are aware that they have duties to perform and a status in society to maintain. They support the politics and religion that creates the narrative that puts them where they are. They are patriotic, nationalistic and religious. It is God, King/President and Country and they make sure that they always look the part and are prominent.

Behind the scenes they control the media that pumps out the same consistent story. Everyone has their place. There is a common aim. We are in the same boat. It is the fault of the scroungers, the foreigners and inferior races. There is always an enemy, always a scapegoat. There is also the titillation, the sex, scandals, soaps, gameshows and lotteries to create distraction, to stop anyone questioning.

They carefully orchestrate the living standards of the masses to give as little as possible without generating too much dissent.

They perpetuate the myth that they are striving for improvement, we are getting better, we do have the best system, but there are always obstacles. If only people would work a little harder and take that pay cut there would be light at the end of the tunnel.

The message is that we must resist the forces that are demanding change. To overthrow the system would result in misery. History proves that. Socialism never works. It leads to tyranny. The money goes abroad. The economy suffers.

The promise is that anyone with the ability, work ethic or luck can rise up to join them –  except that few do.

In this way they hope to maintain the status quo, protect their wealth and status, pass it on to their offspring and keep the scum in check.

  1. Truer words have not been written, good sir! Someday we might elect a leader that will stand up to them and say, “ENOUGH!” But I won’t hold my breath…
