  1. No Blue Suede Shoes, Hound Dog, All Shook Up, Jailhouse Rock, Little Sister or Suspicious Minds? Easily some of the best he recorded.
    These early Sun recordings were limp and distinctly non-rocking.

  2. Ooh I like all of these because there’s an Elvis Presley impersonator who lives below me and he’s really good and I got really into Elvis’s music for a while! Although my favorites are Jailhouse Rock and Blue Suede Shoes!

      1. Seriously? You’d never have heard these Sun singles when first released and they were only drip-fed out in UK years after, with the first proper compilation not appearing until 1976.
        The 1956-57 recordings changed everything.

    1. I never rated Elvis much until I heard the Sun stuff. I preferred Little Richard, Buddy Holly, Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry and Eddie Cochran.
